Not abiding in the realm of form, not abiding in the formless realm, not abiding in emptiness, not abiding in the signless, not abiding in the wishless, not abiding in this world, not abiding in the other world, not abiding in form, not abiding in sound, not abiding in smell, not abiding in taste, not abiding in touch, not abiding in dharma, not abiding in giving, not abiding in morality, not abiding in patience, not abiding in diligence, not abiding in meditation, not abiding in wisdom. Son of good family, in short, abandoning all attachments, meditate without abiding. Thus meditating is meditation. This meditation is also dedicated to the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment, but one should not be arrogant with this meditation. Son of good family, how does one cultivate wisdom in this? He thinks thus: Although countless realms of sentient beings are completely liberated from suffering, not a single sentient being is completely liberated from suffering. Why is that? The Bhagavan said that all dharmas are without self, all dharmas are without sentient beings, and all dharmas are without individuals. Thus cultivate wisdom. This wisdom is also dedicated to the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment, but one should not be arrogant with this wisdom. Son of good family, thus a Bodhisattva desires the mind of enlightenment. Then, at that time, the Bhagavan spoke these verses: A precious jewel, by its very nature, Shines brightly, residing in its source. If polished, it becomes even more, Twice as beautiful, even more radiant. Likewise, one endowed with good lineage, Should seek the mind of enlightenment. Pure in conduct, free from both extremes, The Evil One will not come into your domain. Son of good family, how does a Bodhisattva desire the Dharma in this? Son of good family, in this, a Bodhisattva by nature diligently seeks the Dharma, desires the Dharma, rejoices in the Dharma, and strives after the joy of the Dharma. He is a renunciant, or a Brahmin, or one afflicted by hunger.

If he sees others who desire land, he gives them whatever tender shoots, green grass, or food they possess, and he accumulates worldly livelihoods and implements, such as roots, fruits, and tree trunks, accumulating and accumulating, and gives them to sentient beings. And he goes to those who uphold the holy Dharma, speaks respectfully, prostrates, rises, joins his palms, performs respectful actions, and asks questions properly with reverence and respect. Then, that upholder of the holy Dharma also answers him as he has asked. And he generates the perception of the teacher in that upholder of the holy Dharma, generates the perception of the virtuous friend, generates the perception of being liberated from the ocean of samsara, generates the perception of the Khenpo, generates the perception of the Acharya, generates the perception of me as the one who has been wandering and searching in the wilderness of samsara for a long time, generates the perception of me as the one who awakens from the sleep of being obscured by ignorance for a long time, generates the perception of me as the one who pulls out from the mud of the ocean of samsara, generates the perception of me as the one who shows the good path to those who have entered the wrong path, generates the perception of me as the one who liberates from the bonds of the prison of samsara, generates the perception of me as the holy doctor of those who have suffered for a long time, generates the perception of me as the great rain cloud that pacifies the burning of the fire of desire, the fire of hatred, and the fire of ignorance.

Even when seeing the happiness of other beings, they do not generate a mind of desire, but think thus: 'I have arisen with an appearance that corresponds to the excellent Dharma, therefore I am happy in the world.' Thinking thus, due to that cause, that condition, and that basis, they do not grieve, do not lament, do not suffer, and do not generate an unpleasant mind. Because they are free from grief, lamentation, suffering, and unpleasantness, for the sake of just one word of Dharma spoken by the Thus-Gone One, they are willing to remain for a kalpa or more than a kalpa in the great hell of uninterrupted suffering experienced by hell beings. They will generate such a mind, and because they have no weariness at all for such things, they diligently and truly accomplish the all-knowingness, and they also obtain the Buddha-Dharma that has not yet been obtained. Son of good family, thus a Bodhisattva is one who desires the Dharma. Then, at that time, the Bhagavan spoke these verses: Sons of the Victorious One, with great wisdom, For those who have become desirous of the Dharma, When completely seeking the excellent Dharma, They do not generate weariness. Those born from the heart of the Victorious One, Who completely seek the excellent Dharma with reverence, They hold it with their minds, And accomplish it with diligence. Son of good family, how then does a Bodhisattva closely analyze the Dharma? Son of good family, here, a Bodhisattva closely analyzes the Dharma: all Dharmas are like illusions, because they make ignorant ordinary people confused. All Dharmas are like dreams, because they do not exist. All Dharmas are like the moon in water, because they have no substance. All Dharmas are like mirages, because they have no sentient beings. All Dharmas are like reflections, because they are completely imputed as unreal. All Dharmas are like echoes, because they arise, decay, and dissolve. All Dharmas are dependently originated, therefore they arise, decay, and dissolve. All Dharmas are unborn, because they truly incline towards Suchness. All Dharmas are unceasing, because they are unborn. Dharma
