Having done so, they rejoice greatly and diligently strive to fully engage in the unexcelled, perfect, and complete enlightenment. When the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, Infinite Wisdom, abide on this path, they will attain a great manifestation of the Dharma. Because of attaining the manifestation, they see that all phenomena of dependent origination are, by their very nature, empty from the beginning, by their very nature, without characteristics, and by their very nature, unborn. Therefore, they do not see form as form itself. Similarly, they do the same for feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness. They do not see consciousness as consciousness itself, because consciousness arises from distinct causes and conditions. They fully realize that the characteristic of consciousness is, by its very nature, empty from the beginning, by its very nature, without characteristics, and by its very nature, unborn, and that it is merely a collection of many causes and conditions. When they see the assembly of causes and conditions, they also fully realize that the causes and conditions themselves are empty, without characteristics, and unborn. When they see in this way, they do not regard the eye as the eye itself. Similarly, they do the same for the ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind. They do not see the mind as the mind itself, because the mind arises from distinct causes and conditions. They fully realize that the characteristic of the mind is, by its very nature, empty from the beginning, by its very nature, without characteristics, and by its very nature, unborn. They also fully realize that there is no agent and no experiencer between the earth element, the water element, the fire element, the wind element, the space element, the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm. Even for a tiny bit of Dharma, they do not see it as a tiny bit of Dharma, because it arises from distinct causes and conditions and belongs to many causes and conditions. Therefore, it is called by its very nature without characteristics and by its very nature unborn. They also fully realize that dependent origination itself is empty, without characteristics, and unborn. Infinite Wisdom, this is how the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, when abiding on that path, individually examine dependent origination. Having examined in this way, with wisdom,

The limit of the suchness of arising will be manifestly realized. By the power of all those appearances of the Dharma, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, great love, great compassion, great joy, great equanimity, and all the qualities of a Buddha in between, will also be quickly and completely perfected. Then, at that time, the Bhagavan spoke in verse: The fearless Bodhisattva, Because there is no abiding in this way, Having made a great appearance of the Dharma, He engages with supreme knowledge. Because he establishes the great banner of the Dharma, This banner is unsurpassed. In all the Buddha's teachings, He engages with perfect mindfulness. He plays well with wisdom, He gives charity to sentient beings with the Dharma. He pours down the great rain of the Dharma, He engages without fear. Thus, Bodhisattvas, Because they have obtained the great appearance of the Dharma, In the true Dharma, The hero dwells well and acts. By the power of that appearance of the Dharma, He realizes all dharmas. Because it arises from many causes, There is nothing that is firm and true. All dharmas are empty by their very nature. By their very nature, they have no characteristics. By their very nature, they have no birth. By their very nature, they have no essence. All dharmas are many causes, Arising from being assembled together. Because many causes are assembled, By nature, they do not exist. Bodhisattvas, in all causes, Understand emptiness by individually examining them. Because all causes are empty by nature, By nature, they have no characteristics. Births do not exist. Actions also do not exist. Thus, whatever is individually realized, He diligently practices the Dharma. Because dependent origination has no essence, All causes are not causes. Thus, whatever is properly realized, He will know all dharmas. Form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, likewise, understand. From many causes and conditions, The aggregates arise. When the aggregates are not truly present, By nature, essence is empty. Because essence is empty, there are no characteristics. All births do not exist.
