And if the foot is placed down, it is known as "Nems"; if the foot is lifted, it is known as "Spar." Sharadvatiputra, in that Buddha-field, the people there do not have any diseases caused by wind, bile, phlegm, or a combination of these. Sharadvatiputra, furthermore, in that Buddha-field, the people there do not have any ugly colors or unpleasant odors. Why is that? Sharadvatiputra, the beings in that Buddha-field have little attachment, little hatred, and little ignorance. Sharadvatiputra, furthermore, in that Buddha-field, there is no killing, binding, or imprisonment of those beings in any way, completely and utterly. Sharadvatiputra, and in that Buddha-field, there are no places of heretics at all, completely and utterly. Sharadvatiputra, and in that Buddha-field, the trees are always in bloom and always bear fruit. Sharadvatiputra, and in that Buddha-field, the clothes of the people are made from wish-fulfilling trees, with five different colors used for clothing. Those clothes are bright in color, fragrant, and do not fade. Sharadvatiputra, just as the flowers of the gods have various fragrances, Sharadvatiputra, the fragrance of those clothes is the same. When sitting on the wish-fulfilling tree, their fragrance is the same as when they are separated from it. Therefore, the fragrance and color of those clothes do not fade. Sharadvatiputra, those people have many clothes, and most of the time, they change and wear them again and again. Sharadvatiputra, and in that Buddha-field, whatever food those people desire, that food appears before them from precious vessels. Sharadvatiputra, just as the gods of the Thirty-Three (Trayastrimsa) have whatever food they think of appearing, Sharadvatiputra, the people in that world

Moreover, whatever food they desire, that kind of food appears before them from precious vessels. Sharadvatiputra, in that Buddha-field, the food of those beings, whether in color, smell, or taste, does not surpass the food of the gods. Sharadvatiputra, in that Buddha-field, those beings have no excrement, urine, saliva, or mucus. Sharadvatiputra, just as the gods who enjoy in the desire realm have no excrement, urine, saliva, or mucus, similarly, Sharadvatiputra, in that Buddha-field, those beings also have no excrement, urine, saliva, or mucus. Sharadvatiputra, in that Buddha-field, the qualities and splendor of the Buddha-field, which are manifested by the power of the past aspirations of the Bhagavan Tathagata Arhat Samyaksambuddha Akshobhya and by the maturation of the merit of those beings, are manifested in this way: there, the places where those beings dwell are multi-storied pavilions made of the seven precious substances, and within those multi-storied pavilions, on thrones made of the seven precious substances, well-laid and spread are soft cotton cushions. And in those multi-storied pavilions, as enjoyments of the pavilions, various ponds appear, filled with water possessing the eight qualities, and those ponds are covered with golden sand and surrounded entirely by heavenly wish-fulfilling trees. There, beings rejoice and abide in the joy of the sacred Dharma. Sharadvatiputra, there, wherever those beings desire ponds filled with water possessing the eight qualities to appear, ponds filled with water possessing the eight qualities appear before those beings. If they wish to follow, they will follow; if they wish to disappear, they will disappear. Sharadvatiputra, in that Buddha-field, winds that are neither too hot nor too cold blow. Gentle, pleasant, and slow winds also blow. Fragrant and pleasing
