Even if all these faultless aspects are known, they will not become pure, because that is not the case. Third chapter. Those foolish beings who are born separately, their wisdom cannot understand this Dharma, even if they slightly conform, they do not understand, then what is the use of extensively explaining conformity and various names? If someone asks, who is the one who abides in the nature of purity? Answer: Abiding in virtue, abiding in the realm of renunciation. Renunciation has neither realm nor is it established as a realm. Those who call abiding in the realm of Nirvana as a name, Nirvana does not exist at all, and no one abides in Nirvana. If someone attains Nirvana, then the Tathagata will also have immeasurable faults, therefore Nirvana cannot be attained by anyone. I am worried that sentient beings, whether they practice or do not practice the profound Dharma, will fall into universal confusion, so the Tathagata will have faults. It should not be said by name that the Tathagata has no faults. If the Tathagata has form, then the Tathagata will also have faults; if the Tathagata has no form, then the Tathagata will also have faults, therefore the Tathagata is neither existent nor non-existent. Any Dharma that is neither born nor dies cannot be said to exist or not exist after death. The Tathagata is neither born nor dies, therefore it cannot be said that the Tathagata has or does not have faults. The Tathagata said that saying existence and saying non-existence are both without limit, and without limit there is no center. Without a center, it is neither existent nor non-existent. If existence and non-existence are true, then there will be no dependent origination, and there will be no hindrance, therefore dependent origination should be understood in this way.

Because there is no cessation, it is impossible for existence and non-existence not to contradict each other in it. Whatever arises dependently has no edge or center at all. Infinite array, which is neither existent nor non-existent, how can the name of all dharmas be established? Those which are neither existent nor non-existent cannot be named in any way. Infinite array, the Tathagata abides in great skillful means, and in order to break the shell of ignorance of sentient beings, he declares that all dharmas are dependently arisen, and expounds the non-contradictory nature of dharmas. He teaches that whatever is included in dependent arising cannot be named as edge or center. Whatever cannot be named cannot be obtained in the slightest. Infinite array, skilled in skillful means and wisdom, and skilled in the wisdom of holding all dharmas, although the Middle Way is established as being free from the extremes of dharmas, it does not show the cutting off of the roots of virtue that hold all dharmas. Dharmas have no cutting off of the roots of virtue, the roots of virtue of dharmas are not cut off, and will never be cut off. All dharmas are without unequal roots of virtue, not one, not different, although they are the supreme Paramita, but all dharmas have no dharma that can reach the other shore and enter into Nirvana, therefore those are unspeakable, unless it is to show the Middle Way correctly and to show it in conventional truth. Whatever is the Middle Way is the path to Nirvana, but Nirvana has nowhere to go. Because it has no going or coming at all, it is taught that all dharmas are equal to Nirvana, which is an excellent exposition of the equality of dharmas. Infinite array, this Middle Way is neither practice nor non-practice, because there is no grasping, it is free from extremes. Where there is no edge, where is the center? Although the edge has nowhere to dwell, ordinary people do not fully understand that the edge has nowhere to dwell.

Therefore, those who have no place to abide and are completely attached to what is not true are not completely liberated. Boundless Array, with great wisdom skilled in means, observe how the Middle Way, which has no place to abide and nothing to rely on, is shown. Boundless Array, the Tathagatas have no doubts about those who teach the Dharma, and they have no forgetfulness. The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, are always in equipoise. Because they are masters of samadhi, they always see clearly. Because they are always well-established in equipoise, they have no discursive thoughts and dwell in seeing immeasurable wisdom. The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, do not abide. In the manner of not abiding, they teach the Dharma that is exceedingly pure. The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, teach the Dharma that is utterly pure, and they teach the Dharma of peace. When the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, teach the Dharma, there is not the slightest omission. Boundless Array, this is like how in the great ocean there is a jewel called "various precious jewels." When a great mass of water dries up, the mass of water does not increase, so the great ocean is not depleted. All the water that flows into it gathers completely, and that is like a heap of fire. Likewise, when the Tathagata awakens to complete perfect enlightenment, the great light of wisdom, immeasurable and immeasurable, burns and dries up the afflictions of sentient beings. Boundless Array, all the words of the Tathagata spoken day and night will gradually burn away the afflictions. Therefore, the enlightened activity of speech is meaningful. Saying "I prostrate to the Buddhas" is also a great lamp, because it will surely burn away the afflictions. Whoever hears the names of the Tathagatas, that will also become a great cause for them to transcend suffering. Boundless Array, in this way, in order to pacify the afflictions of sentient beings who have entered the path of the Tathagata, the Tathagata pours down the rain of Dharma. Boundless Array, that
