It is not that all dharmas are collected and exist in a common way. Those dharmas that are unborn and unceasing are not to be spoken of. Those dharmas that are meaningful and have equal shares with each other, all separation is neither having nor not having. All dharmas are without a maker, without one who causes to make. All dharmas are without life, without sentient beings, without persons. All dharmas are equal to nirvana by adhering to the words as they are manifested. All dharmas are without attachment, not possessing attachment, and free from attachment. This teaching, which is skilled in distinguishing the immeasurable array of dharanis, is to be closely examined by bodhisattvas with regard to all dharmas, both internal and external. Having thus spoken, that bodhisattva also completely abandons all internal foundations and does not take up external ones either. He also contemplates in this way: Alas! This abiding world enters the wheel of samsara without beginning or end, follows after being seized by ignorance, is immersed in the shell of the egg of ignorance, wanders, wanders greatly, and wanders completely greatly. The wheel of samsara itself completely transforms in that very place, transforms greatly, yet there is no object of samsara in this, nor is there manifestation. The follower of the complete transformation of the wheel of samsara is also not truly existent. Even though the abiding world is such, there is no object of the world in this, nor is there manifestation of the world. These sentient beings, because they do not know such dharmas well, therefore wander in this, wander completely, run, run completely, and follow after. Alas! These sentient beings do not know that nature, and because of what is not true, they are reversed, and they are attached to perceiving sentient beings where there are no sentient beings, and they are bound by the bonds of perceiving sentient beings. Alas! These sentient beings, because they do not know the dharmas well, follow after destruction, disintegration, and extreme destruction. Because of what is not true, although they are arguing, fighting, and following after darkness, they have not gone anywhere, nor have they come from anywhere. Alas!

These beings are bound by attachment to all formations, bound by the fetters of all attachments. Because they do not fully understand liberation, I think that in order to benefit and embrace these beings, I must teach this Dharma. If the Bodhisattva of Infinite Adornment is so skilled in distinguishing all dharmas, he will quickly obtain the great light of all dharmas, and will also obtain the path of complete purity, and will also universally grasp the correct knowledge of each, and will also strive to manifest great patience, and will also grasp great love, and will also grasp great compassion, and will also be skilled in expounding the meaning, and will also fully understand the kinds of words, and will also understand immeasurable words, and will also remember past deeds, and will also universally show benefits, and will not violate any Dharma, and will also lead beings into non-contentious activities, and will also subdue all heretics in a way that is in accordance with the Dharma, and will also teach the Dharma in order to liberate beings from darkness, and will also be praised by the Buddhas of the ten directions, and will also obtain the great light of the Dharma, and will also become an inconceivable Dharma benefactor, and will also use the Dharma treasury of the Buddhas, and will not be universally ignorant. He will also universally grasp the differences of aspirations, and will also fulfill all the aspirations he has made. He will also further understand inconceivable skillful means, and will also correctly encourage beings to fulfill their wishes. He will also universally show the causes of the past and the future, and will also clearly show that he is proficient in the past and the future. O Infinite Adornment, if a Bodhisattva is skilled in understanding the practice of the door of samadhi, he will also be skilled in expounding the kinds of meanings, and will also enter the kinds of wisdom, and will also understand the profound Dharma, and will also understand how to establish the teachings, and will not hesitate about anything. He will abide in patience that does not depend on others, and will also enter the skill of making great effort.
