In this way, the merchant's son Norsang built houses, each of those, and from each of those objectives, he saw inconceivable ornaments, and these various transformations of lands, and countless other things. Because the power of memory did not diminish, his eyes were completely pure, he looked in all directions, and the wisdom of seeing with insight was without obstruction, and the wisdom of the Bodhisattva, and having fully obtained the power of blessings, he dwelt in the ground of wisdom that enters into the aspect of the Bodhisattva's perception, and saw all those boundless ornaments and transformations of lands. Like this: For example, when a person falls asleep and dreams, he sees many different kinds of visual objects, such as houses and immeasurable palaces that are radiant, or villages, cities, regions, and lands that are radiant, or gardens of edible trees, delightful gardens, and ascetic forests that are radiant, or trees, rivers, ponds, and mountains that are radiant, or the enjoyment of clothes, food, and drink that is comfortable, or the delightful playing with songs, cymbals, and various beautiful sounds of musical instruments. Or, knowing that parents, relatives, and oneself are together, or knowing that one dwells in the great ocean, Mount Meru the king of mountains, all the realms of the gods, and in the Jambudvipa for countless hundreds of thousands of yojanas. And seeing that the house or dwelling is very spacious, and is completely adorned with all qualities and ornaments. Even knowing that it is daytime, one does not distinguish between the length of the night, and does not even know that it is just a dream. One also possesses all the implements of happiness, and the activities of the body are comfortable and balanced, and without sleep, all unpleasant things are completely eliminated, thus experiencing great joy and happiness, thinking that a long time has passed, knowing that a day, seven days, half a month, a month, a year, a hundred years, or even longer has passed, and upon waking up, one remembers all of that. And also the merchant's (ཚོང་དཔོན་) son, Norsang (ནོར་བཟངས་), with the blessing of the Bodhisattva (བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའི), and the wisdom of truly dwelling in all three realms (ཁམས་གསུམ་) as if in a dream, possessed a mind that extinguished small thoughts, the aspect of the Bodhisattva's thought was vast, extensive, abiding without obscuration, the realm of the Bodhisattva's adornment was fully comprehended, with the wisdom of following the Bodhisattva's conduct, which is inconceivable, all those emanations of adornment were also seen, known, experienced, distinguished, attended to, understood as an object, and oneself also knew that one was dwelling among them. For example, when a sick person's mind arises with the last thought, and immediately after that the arising mind abides closely, when the place of birth of karma manifests, due to the ripening of how the karma was done and accumulated, due to the cause of non-virtuous karma, the hell beings and, the birth place of animals and, the realm of pretas or, Yama's minions holding blood-stained weapons, those who scold and are angry are also seen. The cries of hell beings and, the sounds of wailing are also heard, and those salt waters are also seen, those mountains with crossed sharp blades and, those iron Sal trees and, those forests of sword leaves are also seen, those hell beings are also, all burning and completely burning and, extremely burning and, those burning together in an iron container are also seen, and all those harms also inflict harm, and those feelings are also known only as experiences, those hell beings are also, tormented by the fire, seen as suffering, and have I also experienced it? With the accumulation of virtuous deeds, have I seen a heavenly palace and, a dwelling? The retinue of gods and, the assembly of goddesses and, all the emanations of ornaments are also seen, the gardens of edible trees and, the forests of asceticism and, rivers and, ponds and, jewel mountains and, wish-fulfilling trees and, many enjoyments are seen, experienced.
