Those who rely on spiritual friends! Those who have spiritual friends as their root! Those who arise from spiritual friends! Those who have spiritual friends as their birthplace! Those who have spiritual friends as their source of origin! Those who are completely born from spiritual friends! Those who are completely nourished by spiritual friends! Those who completely rely on spiritual friends! Spiritual friends are the cause! Those who are thoroughly born from spiritual friends! Then, the merchant's son Norsang, having heard such qualities of spiritual friends, and the praise and subsequent teachings, the immeasurable conduct of Bodhisattvas, and the vast Dharma of the Buddhas, rejoiced and was delighted, feeling satisfied, comfortable, content, and a joyful mind arose. He bowed his head to the feet of the boy Paljungwa and the girl Paldzin Lodro, and then circumambulated the boy Paljungwa and the girl Paldzin Lodro hundreds of thousands of times to the right, and then departed from the presence of the boy Paljungwa and the girl Paldzin Lodro. The eighteenth volume of the "Greatly Expanded Sutra Called Buddha's Marvelousness." Then, the merchant's son Norsang, whose mind was moistened by the instructions of the spiritual friend, contemplated the subsequent teachings of the Bodhisattva's conduct. He thought about how many past bodies were wasted without being properly practiced, thereby making the strength of the body more firm. He thought about how past bodies and minds, though completely pure, became meaningless continuums of samsaric mind, thereby greatly taming the mind and intellect. He thought about how past deeds were not truly pure, and were carelessly indulged for the sake of worldly affairs, wasting energy without cherishing it, thereby carefully contemplating how to properly accomplish the things that are happening now. He thought about how past endless wrong thoughts arose from false discriminations, thereby hindering all thoughts, thereby truly generating the power of manifestation of all the Bodhisattva's conduct through correct thinking.
