Living beings kill, take what is not given, engage in sexual misconduct, lie, speak divisive words, speak harsh words, speak idle words, possess greed, harbor harmful thoughts, and generate wrong views. Thus, the ten paths of non-virtuous actions increase in various ways and become extremely firm. The Bhagavan Tathagata, with the sound of the Dharma wheel, like the lamp king of the clouds in the sky, for the deeds done by the previous king who was the lord of the world, and to ripen the roots of virtue of the people of Jambudvipa, proceeded to the supreme Bodhi tree, and taught the Dharma to the Bodhisattvas. At that time, in the royal palace adorned with joy, a king named Victorious Light resided. He took what was not given, stole, committed evil deeds, killed, engaged in sexual misconduct, lied, spoke divisive words, possessed harsh words, spoke idle words, possessed greed, harbored harmful thoughts, held wrong views, was attached to unlawful desires, was overcome by unbearable desires, was completely turned by evil dharmas, committed evil deeds, committed violent deeds, did not accumulate merit, was without fear, did not know mother, did not know father, did not act as a renunciate, did not act as a Brahmin, did not know the right way, was full of deceit, and was imprisoned in a prison to subdue countless hundreds of thousands of people. That King Victorious Light had a son, with a good form, extremely beautiful, pleasing to see, possessing excellent and supreme complexion, possessing the thirty-two major marks of a great person, named Completely Victorious. He went to the top of the pavilion called Melodious Sound, and while dwelling surrounded by many female attendants, he heard the sounds of the beings dwelling in the prison, tightly bound by various weapons, uttering fearful cries. Having heard this, he became displeased and extremely uncomfortable, generated great compassion, descended from the top of the pavilion to the bottom, went to that prison, and saw the beings dwelling in the strong prison with wooden shackles.

Chains and iron fetters, binding and, whipping and ropes binding and fastening, one body connected to another, imprisoned in the depths of darkness, shrouded in the dimness of smoke. Weakened by the discomfort of wind disease, breathing extremely difficult, enduring the torment of hunger and thirst, naked and without clothes, bodies rolling in dust and dirt, bodies covered by their own hair, thighs tightly bound. Oppressed by various afflictions, overwhelmed by the feeling of suffering, enduring the torment of suffering. Seeing those who utter unbearable cries and pleas for help, great compassion arose, a vast compassionate thought arose, and the mind to benefit others arose, to liberate the beings dwelling in the dense prison from the prison. Sighing in this way, he gave those beings the protection of fearlessness. Then he went to where King Victorious Light was, and reported thus: May the divine one be aware, for the beings in the suffering of the prison, I request to give them the protection of fearlessness, do you allow me to do so? After that, King Victorious Light summoned five hundred ministers and asked: What do you think? They replied: These prisoners are all those who were caught stealing the king's property, defiling the king's body, and entering the ranks of the consorts. It is not too much to execute these people. Their punishment is lighter than execution. If they die in prison, it is also considered a reduction of punishment. Whoever intercedes for them is also offending the dignity of the king. After that, the king's son, named Victorious, unable to bear it with great compassion, said to those ministers: What are you saying? Even so, it is acceptable. If I can endure all the suffering endured for these poor people, what would you do? Put all of that on me, and release those sinners! In order to liberate them from prison, I am willing to endure all discomfort, and even willing to give up my body and life. Why is that? If I
