Some felt that a hundred thousand years had passed. Some felt that a million years had passed. Some felt that a hundred million years had passed. Some felt that a thousand million years had passed. Some felt that a hundred thousand million years had passed. Some felt that a trillion years had passed. Some felt that half a kalpa had passed. Some felt that one kalpa had passed. Some felt that a hundred kalpas had passed. Some felt that a thousand kalpas had passed. Some felt that a hundred thousand kalpas had passed. Some felt that a million kalpas had passed. Some felt that a hundred million kalpas had passed. Some felt that a thousand million kalpas had passed. Some felt that a hundred thousand million kalpas had passed. Some felt that a hundred trillion kalpas had passed. From then on, some felt that they had spent as many inexpressible inexpressible kalpas at the feet of some Tathagatas. Some felt that they had spent as many kalpas as the extremely fine dust of Jambudvipa at the feet of some Tathagatas, and even felt that they had spent as many kalpas as the extremely fine dust of the inexpressible and inexpressible Buddha-fields. Then, the Rishi Fearful Sound said to the merchant's son Sudhana, and he also knew that he was in the presence of the Rishi Fearful Sound. Then the Rishi Fearful Sound said to him, 'Son of good family, do you remember?' He said, 'Holy One, I remember by the blessings of the virtuous friend.' (The Rishi said:) 'Son of good family, I only know this unsurpassed banner of liberation of the Bodhisattva. The Bodhisattva is far superior to all beings, endowed with wisdom and superknowledge, has attained samadhi, turns the wheel of Dharma at all times, is skilled in the names of the Buddhas and the attainment of wisdom, is skilled in arranging ornaments that focus on the sun of the appearance of the Tathagatas, correctly gathers the realms of the three times into the wisdom of a single instant, and extensively spreads his body throughout all the worlds, the realm of Dharma.'

All realms are endowed with the nature of wisdom's light, appearing manifestly as the minds of all beings are. Because they act according to the minds of beings, they possess qualities that accord with various actions, appearing universally as desired, a pure and immaculate mandala of wisdom, full of light. One is able to know their actions, or to speak of their virtues, or to describe the distinctions of their aspirations, or to know the manifest accumulation of realms, or to enter the realm of wisdom, or to follow the conduct of samadhi, or to engage in miraculous powers and various transformations, or to draw out the supreme power of liberation and to follow various plays, or to grasp the signs of the body's various divisions, or to speak of the pure mandala of sound, or to be able to fully reveal the light of wisdom. Son of the Song lineage! In this southern region, there is a place called "Universally Seeking." There dwells a Brahmin named "Superior Heat Birth." Go to him and ask how a Bodhisattva should train in the conduct of a Bodhisattva, and how to diligently practice. Then, the merchant's son, Norzang, felt joyful, content, happy, and satisfied. He bowed his head to the feet of the righteous Bhairava Sound, circumambulated the righteous Bhairava Sound hundreds and thousands of times, gazed upon him again and again, and then departed from the presence of the righteous Bhairava Sound. The Great Extensive Sutra called "Buddha's Marvelousness," the thirty-second chapter. Then, the merchant's son, Norzang, illuminated by the wisdom of the Bodhisattva's liberation—the invincible banner, manifestly engaged in the inconceivable transformations of the Buddha's realm, knowing with the Bodhisattva's liberation—the inconceivable direct wisdom, with the wisdom of the Bodhisattva's inconceivable samadhi, the mind manifested, the samadhi that correctly enters at all times.
