It is also very rare to practice. Saying this, and entering into the obstacles of my virtuous deeds, and thus striving to cut off my life, is this not a demon? Or is it blessed by a demon? Or does it belong to the retinue of demons? Or is it disguised as a virtuous friend? Is it not someone who disrespects Bodhisattvas? Is it not someone who wants to hinder my omniscience? Is it not someone who wants to lead me into a wrong and evil path? Is it not someone who hinders the gate of Dharma by which I should comprehend the Buddha's Dharma? Thinking thus, and when he was thinking and attending to it in his mind, ten thousand Brahmas stayed in the sky above and proclaimed thus: Son of good family, do not make your mind so unstable. Son of good family, this noble one has fully attained the appearance of the Samadhi Vajra radiating light, is the diligence without turning back, has entered into accomplishing great deeds, is manifestly striving to dry up the moisture of craving of all beings, is striving to cut all the nets of views, is in a state of readiness to burn up all the firewood of afflictions, is striving to illuminate all the remote hermitages of leisure and ignorance, is steadfast in his vows to ward off the cliff of old age and death and the fears of all sentient beings, is manifestly striving to dispel the darkness of the three times, has entered into raising the rays of light of all Dharmas. Son of good family, when this noble one was tormented by the five austerities, as many Brahmas as there were, either as Khenpos and powerful ones, or each boasting and thinking of themselves as the lords of all the worlds, and manifestly clinging to various kinds of views, all of them, by the power of the austerity and the vows of this noble one, had no joy in their respective abodes, and they had not experienced the joy of meditative taste, therefore they went to the presence of this noble one. After they had gone, by the miraculous generosity of this noble one, and the fierce austerity, and the power of the asceticism, in order to completely reverse all views, and to abandon all pride and arrogance, he taught the Dharma.

In order to pervade all beings with great love and great compassion, to stabilize the mind of enlightenment, to generate the mind of enlightenment very extensively, to diligently and truly see all Buddhas, to completely obtain the wheel of the Buddha's speech, and to make the Buddha's voice known everywhere without obstruction or concealment, the Dharma is taught. Ten thousand demons also dwell in the sky above, scattering celestial jewels brightly, and uttering these words: "Son of noble family, when this noble one completely torments himself with five austerities, a great light arises from this radiant aggregate, overwhelming all our homes, bodies, and enjoyments of ornaments. Therefore, we are all displeased in our respective abodes, and together with our retinues, we come before this noble one. After we have come before this noble one, this noble one will, in any case, cause us to regain our own minds and generate the mind of enlightenment, so that we will never turn back from the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and thus, thus, he will teach the Dharma." Ten thousand kings of the gods of dominion also scatter celestial flowers brightly, uttering these words: "Son of noble family, when this noble one completely torments himself with five austerities, we are all displeased in our respective abodes, and therefore, we also come before him together with our respective retinues. After we have come before this noble one, this one teaches the Dharma in order to enable us to obtain the dominion to control our respective minds. In order to obtain dominion over all afflictions, in order to obtain dominion over rebirth as desired, in order to obtain great dominion over the complete purification of all karmic obscurations, in order to obtain great dominion over all samādhis, in order to completely purify the adornment of dominion over resources, and in order to, as desired, obtain dominion over life, the Dharma is taught.
