The retinue all dwell together in harmony, appearing before my eyes. Son of good family, in this way, these Tathagatas and others, the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas of the ten directions, even as many as the extremely fine dust particles in the Buddha-fields of the ten directions, although I see them, those Tathagatas do not come here. Nor do I go there. Whenever I wish, in that happy world, I also see the Tathagata Infinite Light residing. In the sandalwood world, I also see the Tathagata Light Vajra residing. In the fragrant world, I also see the Tathagata Light Jewel residing. In the lotus world, I also see the Tathagata Light Jewel Lotus residing. In the golden world, I also see the Tathagata Light Peaceful residing. In the Abhirati world, I also see the Tathagata Immovable residing. In the extremely stable world, I also see the Tathagata Lion residing. In the world that appears like a mirror's center, I also see the Tathagata Wisdom Moon residing. In the world adorned with faith in the glory of jewels, I also see the Tathagata Vairochana residing. Son of good family, in this way, whatever Tathagata of whatever world in whatever direction I wish to see, I see those Tathagatas. At whatever time, with whatever object, with whatever former conduct, I wish to see the Tathagata, and for the sake of whatever various manifestations, for the sake of taming whatever sentient beings, whatever Tathagata I wish to see, I see those Tathagatas. However, those Tathagatas do not come here, nor do I go there. Son of good family, in this way, I know that the Tathagatas have not come from anywhere, and I also know that my own body does not go anywhere, and the various appearances of the Tathagatas are like a dream.

Knowing that focusing one's own mind is like a dream that passes away, one should know. The focus of the Thus-Gone Ones is like an image, one should know. The focus of one's own mind is like a clear vessel of water, one should know. The focus of the Thus-Gone Ones is like an image created by magic, one should know. The focus of one's own mind is like magic, one should know. The speech of the Thus-Gone One is proclaimed like the echo of a mountain valley, one should know. The focus of one's own mind is like an echo, one should know. All the Buddha-dharmas of the Bodhisattvas arise from the blessings of one's own mind. Thus, one should realize and understand. All the pure Buddha-fields are also the blessings of one's own mind. The conduct of the Bodhisattva is also the blessings of one's own mind. To fully ripen and subdue all sentient beings is also the blessings of one's own mind. The fulfillment of the Bodhisattva's aspirations is also the blessings of one's own mind. To reach the city of Omniscience is also the blessings of one's own mind. To sport with inconceivable liberation is also the blessings of one's own mind. To awaken to perfect and complete enlightenment of the Buddha is also the blessings of one's own mind. In the realm of Dharma, gathering all together, emanating the power of the supreme herd and transforming is also the blessings of one's own mind. The wisdom that condenses all eons into the extremely subtle is also the blessings of one's own mind. Thus, one should understand and realize. Son of good family, I think thus: all roots of virtue should make one's own mind stable. The clouds of Dharma should completely moisten one's own mind. From the obscuring dharmas, one should completely purify one's own mind. Diligence should make one's own mind firm. Patience should make one's own mind equanimous. To understand wisdom, one should make one's own mind focused. Wisdom should make one's own mind

One should be completely purified. For the senses, one should manifest one's own mind-nature. For equality with the Buddha, one should expand one's own mind-nature. For the ten powers of the Tathagata, one should illuminate one's own mind-nature, so think. Son of good family, if I know this unimpeded liberation adornment of the Tathagata, and take and fully grasp it, I would know that Bodhisattvas possess an undefiled mind, abide in the realm of undefiled conduct, obtain the Samadhi in which all Buddhas who appear now are manifestly present, obtain the Samadhi of the gate of perfect enlightenment abiding on the edge of non-Nirvana, become equal to the three times, know the manner of the realm of Samadhi that is separated from the root, spread bodies in all Buddha-fields, practice in Buddha-fields without difference, possess the realm of conduct that manifestly turns in all directions, observe with the mandala of wisdom without going or coming, even though on their bodies all world-systems appear to perish and gather, but they do not have the dualistic clinging to self and world-system, who can know their conduct or praise their qualities? Go, son of good family, in this southern direction, there is a place called 'Vastly Filled by Covering the Top of Jambudvipa'. There, there is a Bhikshu called Ocean Banner. Go to him and ask how a Bodhisattva should train in the conduct of a Bodhisattva, and how to be diligent. Then, the son of the merchant, Norzang, bowed his head to the two feet of the merchant Butangdro, circumambulated the merchant Butangdro hundreds and thousands of times to the right, looked at him again and again, pleasingly praised the immeasurable qualities of the merchant Butangdro, thinking of examining, believing, and not abandoning him, weeping and lamenting, thinking of the virtuous friend, following the virtuous friend, believing in serving the virtuous friend, and the virtuous friend's...
