Having become Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta, with such a complete array of adornments that are emanations of a bodhisattva, having emerged from Jeta Grove, seeing him going towards the south, he thought to himself: I too shall travel the lands together with Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta. He, surrounded and led by about sixty monks, emerged from his own dwelling and went to where the Blessed One was. He bowed to the two feet of the Blessed One with his head, and having requested the Blessed One, and having been granted permission by the Blessed One, and having circumambulated the Blessed One three times, he emerged from the presence of the Blessed One and went to where Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta was, together with the monks, practicing diligently, and before long, they had all newly joined. Like this, the monk Ocean of Intelligence, as well as Greatly Bestowed, Light of Merit, Great Son and All-Encompassing Giving, Pure Conduct, Divine Glory, Wisdom of Power, Sacredness of Brahmā, Wisdom of the Monk's Peace, and all of those about sixty monks, had all done deeds for the previous victors, cultivated roots of virtue, become deeply devoted, their eyes of faith completely purified, acting with a vast mind, having the power to look at the aspects of the Buddha, possessing a mind that understands the essence and nature of the Dharma, having the wisdom to benefit others, greatly admiring the qualities of the Tathāgata. When Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta taught the Dharma, he went together with and led all those who were disciplined, going ahead, to where Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta was. Then, the venerable Śāradvatīputra thus embarked on the path, and as he went, looking at all those monks, he said to the monk Ocean of Intelligence: Ocean of Intelligence, the body of the bodhisattva Mañjuśrī is adorned with excellent marks and signs, completely pure, inconceivable to gods and humans, the circle of light is completely pure, generating joy for immeasurable beings, and the adornment of the net of light eliminates the suffering of immeasurable beings.
