And for beings intoxicated with joy and play, completely manifesting the action of truly generating supreme joy with the joy of Dharma, and generating the offering of Dharma, and completely manifesting the action of filling all realms of desire by offering and serving the Tathagata, and the action of perfectly receiving the blessings of the Tathagata with the appearance of joy in the Dharma. Alas, these ten sons of the Victorious One are the actions of the Bodhisattvas completely manifesting the youthful stage; after completely showing these, the Bodhisattvas will enter into the retinue of consorts. Alas, these ten sons of the Victorious One are the close manifestation of the retinue of consorts of the Bodhisattvas. What are the ten? Like this, in order to fully ripen the roots of virtue of the Bodhisattvas who previously practiced together, the Bodhisattvas closely manifest the retinue of consorts; to proclaim the roots of virtue of the Bodhisattva, they closely manifest the retinue of consorts; to fully demonstrate the greatness of enjoyment and happiness to gods and humans attached to enjoyment and happiness, they closely manifest the retinue of consorts; to follow the thoughts of sentient beings in the field of the five degenerations, they closely manifest the retinue of consorts; to abide in samadhi within the retinue of consorts and to fully demonstrate the power and greatness of the Bodhisattva, they closely manifest the retinue of consorts; to completely fulfill the intentions of sentient beings endowed with previous aspirations, they closely manifest the retinue of consorts; to completely fulfill the intentions of the assembly of fathers, mothers, and relatives, they closely manifest the retinue of consorts; to accomplish the offering and service to all the Tathagatas with the sound of playing and strumming musical instruments endowed with the great realm of Dharma, they closely manifest the retinue of consorts; from within the retinue of consorts, the Bodhisattva abides in samadhi, and to show from the attainment of perfect enlightenment that is extremely subtle, up to the great complete Nirvana.

O sons of the Victorious One, those ten are the retinue of the queens approaching the Bodhisattvas, which are fully shown by the Bodhisattva who has the last existence, and will appear after that. O sons of the Victorious One, these ten are the manifestations of the Bodhisattvas. What are the ten? Thus, in order to despise the state of being at home, the Bodhisattvas manifest; in order to make sentient beings who delight in dwelling ascend upwards, the Bodhisattvas manifest; in order to fully show the goodness of the path that is in accordance with the noble ones, the Bodhisattvas manifest; in order to truly praise the qualities and goodness of renunciation, the Bodhisattvas manifest; In order to truly show the separation from the views of the two extremes, the Bodhisattvas manifest; in order to make sentient beings who strive to be in contact with the pleasures of desire and who take their own happiness to heart become weary, the Bodhisattvas manifest; in order to truly show the previous signs of arising from all the three realms, the Bodhisattvas manifest; in order to rely on acting independently and relying on not relying on others, the Bodhisattvas manifest; in order to obtain the ten powers and fearlessness of the Thus-Gone One, and to show them in accordance with them, the Bodhisattvas manifest; O sons of the Victorious One, even by the nature of reality, the Bodhisattva who has the last existence will undoubtedly manifest. O sons of the Victorious One, these ten are the manifestations that the Bodhisattvas fully show for the sake of the power of taming sentient beings. O sons of the Victorious One, these ten are the practices of asceticism of the Bodhisattvas. What are the ten? Thus, in order to fully ripen the realm of sentient beings who are devoted to inferiority, the Bodhisattvas show the practice of asceticism, and the aspects of views.

In order to elevate beings dwelling in lower realms, Bodhisattvas demonstrate ascetic practices; in order to vividly show the ripening of karma to beings who are entangled in actions and activities, Bodhisattvas demonstrate ascetic practices; in order for the completely afflicted and vast world realms to follow the nature of reality, Bodhisattvas demonstrate ascetic practices; Bodhisattvas demonstrate ascetic practices in order to fully reveal that their own weariness is pacified and they possess power; Bodhisattvas demonstrate ascetic practices; for the sake of those who are attached to the Dharma, Bodhisattvas demonstrate ascetic practices; in order to cause weariness in beings who strive to encounter the pleasures of desire and are preoccupied with their own happiness, Bodhisattvas demonstrate ascetic practices; in order to fully demonstrate the excellence of the Bodhisattva's conduct, Bodhisattvas demonstrate ascetic practices; in order to properly engage future generations in diligence, Bodhisattvas demonstrate ascetic practices; in order to await the time to fully ripen the gods and humans whose faculties have not yet matured, Bodhisattvas demonstrate ascetic practices. O sons of the Victorious Ones, these ten are the means by which Bodhisattvas fully demonstrate the practice of asceticism for the sake of taming beings. O sons of the Victorious Ones, these ten are the essence of Bodhisattvas going to Bodhi, what are the ten? Namely: in order to illuminate all world realms, Bodhisattvas go to the essence of Bodhi; in order to thoroughly shake all world realms, Bodhisattvas go to the essence of Bodhi; in order to fully demonstrate the manifestation of their own bodies in all world realms, Bodhisattvas go to the essence of Bodhi; in order to encourage the Bodhisattvas who were previously companions in practice, Bodhisattvas go to the essence of Bodhi; Bodhisattvas go to the essence of Bodhi.
