Amidst the lotus, a great dragon's roar resounds, and in order to manifestly send down the rain of the nectar-like Dharma of faculties, powers, limbs of enlightenment, meditative absorption, liberation, samadhi, and equipoise, it transforms into the form of a Naga. Piercing through the shell of the egg of ignorance and the viscous albumen, separating the water of craving with the wings of insight, in order to manifest and arise the serpent of the mind, which is possessed of desire, anger, and the stains of affliction, it transforms into the form of the great Garuda king. In order to eliminate all fear and trepidation, and with the claws of great wisdom of equality, utterly crush all the adversaries of the other side who are evilly assembled, it transforms into the form of a great lion. In order to centrally destroy all the difficult-to-tame, harmful minds that are enemies of desire, anger, and the stains of affliction, it transforms into the form of a hero. In order to truly reveal the mastery of all dharmas with the wisdom that thoroughly realizes all aggregates, elements, sense bases, and dependent origination, it transforms into the form of wisdom. In order to completely retain all that is heard with mindfulness, intelligence, and realization, and to place it without forgetting, thereby entering into the faculties of other beings, it transforms into the form of dharani. Because it is swift, rapid, fierce, and unimpeded, and without attachment, it thoroughly analyzes and reveals all words, thereby satisfying all beings, and possessing meaningful and unconfused fearlessness, it transforms into the form of fearlessness. Ascending the sacred lion throne, destroying all the enemies of Mara, in order to fully increase the assembly of omniscient wisdom, with the wisdom that possesses a single instant of mind, all that should be attained is thus attained, perfectly and completely awakening to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, and attaining the form of a Buddha. O! These ten sons of the Victorious Ones are the emanations of Bodhisattvas, abiding in these emanations, the Bodhisattvas will attain the unsurpassed emanation of mastering all dharmas.

These are all transformations. O, these ten sons of the Buddhas are the lion's roars of the Bodhisattvas. Which ten? Like this, I shall become a Buddha. This is the great lion's roar of the mind of enlightenment. Causing those who have not transcended to transcend, causing those who have not been liberated to be liberated, causing those who have not breathed to breathe, causing those who have not completely passed into nirvana to completely pass into nirvana. This is the great lion's roar of compassion for sentient beings. Not cutting off the lineage of the Buddha, the lineage of the Dharma, the lineage of the Sangha, this is the great lion's roar of the Tathagata making deeds. I shall make all Buddha-fields completely pure. This is the great lion's roar of being steadfast in vows and washing the body with the mouth facing down. I shall dry up all the evil destinies and all the unfavorable conditions. This is the great lion's roar of completely purifying one's own body. I shall completely perfect the ornaments, signs, and excellent marks of the Buddha's body, speech, and mind.
