Thus, their seeing all sentient beings with great joy is the unshared Dharma of the Bodhisattvas; this is the eighth unshared Dharma of the Bodhisattvas. O son of the Victorious One! Bodhisattvas, with the steadfast mind of omniscience and the excellent armor of superior intention, however afflicted by disturbing emotions, and however they associate with the tumult of ordinary people, however they serve, or enter into the assemblies of Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, they do not allow that mind of omniscience, the precious, excellent, and radiant one, to perish. O son of the Victorious One! It is like this: for example, a great precious jewel called 'Excellent Ornament,' though separated by water, no matter how turbid a lotus pond may be, if placed within it, the light, clarity, and excellence of the precious jewel itself are not abandoned, and all the water is made immaculate and very clear. O son of the Victorious One! Likewise, no matter how Bodhisattvas associate with the tumult of ordinary people, they do not allow the light, clarity, and excellent appearance of the precious mind of omniscience to be wasted, and they also turn those sentient beings away from the turbidity of disturbing emotions and firmly establish them in the light, clarity, and nature of the precious mind of omniscience. O son of the Victorious One! Thus, however afflicted by disturbing emotions, and however they associate with the tumult of ordinary people, however they serve, or enter into the assemblies of Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, they do not allow that precious mind of omniscience to perish; this is the unshared Dharma of the Bodhisattvas; this is the ninth unshared Dharma of the Bodhisattvas. O son of the Victorious One! Bodhisattvas have attained the supreme Pāramitā of mastering the Dharma of wisdom in their own realm, and although they are empowered by the empowerment of self-arisen wisdom and abide in a flawless state, they do not abandon relying on spiritual friends for long, and they do not interrupt the continuous service to the Tathāgatas. Thus, possessing perfect conduct, and among all sentient beings, not turning back from relying on spiritual friends, and that
