The power to turn the wheel of Dharma in order to realize the minds and all the complete faculties of all beings. O princes, these ten are the powers of the Bodhisattvas. Abiding in these, the Bodhisattvas will attain the supreme accomplishment of omniscient wisdom and the ten powers. O princes, these ten are the fearlessnesses of the Bodhisattvas. What are the ten? Thus, O princes, the Bodhisattvas have perfectly obtained the dharani that holds all sounds. They do not think, 'If some teachers come to me from the east, south, west, and north and extensively explain hundreds of thousands of great assemblies, I will not be able to grasp it.' The Bodhisattva does not see this reason. Because they do not see this reason, they have obtained the supreme of great fearlessness, and with a firm and unwavering mind, they say to all beings, 'Ask whatever you wish.' This is the first fearlessness. O princes, the Bodhisattvas, in order to thoroughly understand the connection of letters, the expression of meaning, sounds, and all languages, and to obtain the unobstructed eloquence of the empowerment of the Tathagata, have obtained the supreme paramita. They do not think, 'If some people come from the east, south, west, and north and ask me a great doubt about the Dharma, I will not be able to answer.' The Bodhisattva does not see this reason either. Because they do not see this reason, they have obtained the supreme of great fearlessness, and to all beings' questions, be firm, fearless, and without hair standing on end, ask whatever you wish. This is the second fearlessness. O princes, the Bodhisattvas have realized and understood the Dharma of emptiness, and are free from attachment to self and what belongs to self, as well as the agent and the one who causes to act, the feeler and life and sustenance, and attachment to person, aggregates, elements, and sources.

Having followed the mind being equal to space, they do not think like this: 'Will someone harm me with body, speech, and mind? Or will it become different?' Bodhisattvas do not see any signs. Why is that? Because this noble being is free from the grasping of self and the grasping of what belongs to self. Since they do not see any signs, they have attained the supreme state of great fearlessness, and they are very steadfast in abandoning everything that comes before all Bodhisattvas. This is the third fearlessness. O sons of the Victorious Ones, Bodhisattvas are blessed by the blessings of the Buddhas, they are firmly established by the light of the Buddhas, and they abide greatly in the conduct, behavior, and manner of the Thus-Gone Ones. They do not analyze conduct and abide as it is, so they do not think like this: 'Will someone transgress my conduct?' Bodhisattvas do not see any signs. Since they do not see any signs, they have attained the supreme state of great fearlessness, and having gone into the midst of the assembly, they teach the Dharma. This is the fourth fearlessness. O sons of the Victorious Ones, Bodhisattvas have body, speech, and mind that are extremely pure and completely pure, and they possess cleanliness and pure conduct, and they are free from evil conduct, evil deeds, and evil speech. They do not think like this: 'Will someone transgress the actions of my body, speech, and mind?' Bodhisattvas do not see any signs. Since they do not see any signs, they are free from fear and have attained the supreme state of great fearlessness, and they lead other sentient beings to the Dharma. This is the fifth fearlessness. O sons of the Victorious Ones, Bodhisattvas, because Vajrapani is always following behind, have obtained great protection. Gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, and asuras always serve them. Indra, Brahma, and the protectors of the world always pay homage to them. All the Thus-Gone Ones always keep them in mind. They do not think like this: 'Will there be a demon or a retinue of demons'

Whether it be gods or non-Buddhists, non-Buddhist practitioners, or wandering individuals, or certain beings who are attached and particularly fond of objects, they will not have the thought that they will come and create obstacles. Because Bodhisattvas do not even follow after signs. Because they do not follow after signs, they are free from fear, attain the position of a great fearless hero, are joyful and content, and diligently engage in all the activities of a Bodhisattva. This is the sixth fearlessness. O sons of the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, because they have obtained the excellent mindfulness praised by the Buddhas and possess the supreme power of mindfulness, are not completely ignorant. They do not think, "Will we not fully grasp certain phrases and words of the Dharma that are in accordance with the Bodhisattva's path, which have come from the mouth of the Tathagata, or will they be wasted and disappear?" They do not have such thoughts because Bodhisattvas do not even follow after signs. Because they do not follow after signs, they are free from fear and attain the position of a great fearless one. They diligently strive to uphold the teachings of all the Tathagatas correctly. This is the seventh fearlessness. O sons of the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas understand and realize the essence of skillful means, wisdom, and jnana, and having attained the perfection of the power of Bodhisattvas, they continuously ripen the realms of sentient beings, and for those beings to attain the enlightenment of the Buddhas, they make great aspirations and intentions. Having generated great compassion for sentient beings and deliberately contemplating, even if they take birth in the world, dwelling in desire, strife, and the turbidity of afflictions, enjoying the pleasures of desire and great retinue wealth, they will fully accept it for the sake of fully ripening sentient beings. Even so, they do not think, "Will we be tainted by the noise of sentient beings and become completely defiled, or will it cause obstacles or completely change the meditation, liberation, samadhi, equipoise, dharani gates, and unimpeded eloquence that are in accordance with the Bodhisattva's path?" They do not have such thoughts because Bodhisattvas
