Each of those who generate the mind of enlightenment can emanate tathagatas who are without color, without signs, without form, and without body, as many as the grains of sand in the Ganges River. And even to manifest those emanations, as many eons as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River would pass. Prince, what do you think of that? How many tathagatas would those emanations of the mind of enlightenment that that person emanates emanate? The bodhisattva, the glorious one born into the lineage of the tathagatas, said: Prince, I understand the meaning of what you have said. As many emanations as there are, there are also as many that are not emanated. The bodhisattva Samantabhadra said: Prince, what you have said is very good, very good. Prince, in the same way, in an instant, a moment, a short time, all sentient beings awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, but there are also as many who do not awaken to enlightenment. Why is that? It is because enlightenment has no characteristics. That which has no characteristics does not diminish or increase perfect, complete enlightenment. Prince, in that way, the bodhisattva mahasattva should comprehend the perfect, complete enlightenment of the tathagatas, arhats, perfect, complete buddhas. Prince, even after the tathagatas awaken to enlightenment, in an instant, a moment, a short time, they enter into a samadhi of extremely purified wisdom. As soon as they enter into that samadhi, from one immeasurable body of perfect, complete enlightenment, a body arises that is equal to all sentient beings and universally present. In the same way, from one immeasurable body of perfect, complete enlightenment, just as that, also from all immeasurable bodies of perfect, complete enlightenment, each one arises a body that is equal to all sentient beings and universally present. Prince, in that way, the perfect, complete

The doors to enlightenment are also immeasurable, and the form of the Tathagata's body should also be known as immeasurable. Therefore, it is said that the realm of the Tathagata is immeasurable, and the realm of sentient beings is immeasurable. O sons of the Victorious Ones, thus, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva should comprehend the Abhisambodhi of the Tathagatas, Arhats, Samyaksambuddhas. On a single tip of a hair, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva should accommodate the body of the Tathagata, as many as all sentient beings. Why is that? Because the body of the Tathagatas' Abhisambodhi is indestructible and has never been born. Just as one comprehends on a single tip of a hair, so too should one comprehend in all of the remaining Dharmadhatu. One should believe that there is no place where the Tathagata does not reside. Why is that? Because the Abhisambodhi of the Tathagatas pervades all places. Thus, the nature of power, might, and radiance, as well as the essence of the Tathagatas, Bodhi, the Bodhi tree, the lion throne cushion, and the various Abhisambodhis, should also be comprehended in a way that they enter into the power of the Tathagata. O sons of the Victorious Ones, furthermore, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva should comprehend the Abhisambodhi of all the Tathagatas through the nature of their own mind. Why is that? There is no mind that is separate from the Abhisambodhi of the Tathagatas. Just as with one's own mind, one should also comprehend the Abhisambodhi of the Tathagatas in the many vast minds of all sentient beings without exception. O sons of the Victorious Ones, thus, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva should know that the Abhisambodhi of the Tathagatas, Arhats, Samyaksambuddhas is vast, expansive, and all-pervading, and inseparable.

and without separate explanations, continuously entering the inconceivable gate of Dharma, therefore, it should be understood. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra, in order to further examine this meaning, spoke these verses. All phenomena's realization is separated from two and non-two. All phenomena's realization is truly without object. All phenomena's realization is equal to the nature of the sky. All phenomena's realization is equal to self and non-self. All the many forms of the four continents, as they are, the images are like waves in the ocean, therefore it is the ocean. Likewise, all sentient beings in the ten directions are like the ocean, understanding their minds, therefore it is enlightenment. Just as the sky accomplishes all the worlds, it does not increase, and it does not decrease when destroyed. The enlightenment of the Victorious One beyond the world is also like that, enlightenment is non-enlightenment, without nature, one. The manifestation manifested by the mind of the wise, manifestation is non-manifestation, manifestation is non-manifestation, also the same as before and in nature. Likewise, all beings, even if they attain enlightenment and become Buddhas, the previous and nature are one, without increase or decrease. There is the Victorious One's samadhi known as perfect enlightenment, residing in the essence of enlightenment and practicing that samadhi, equally radiating the light of countless beings, like a lotus, perfectly attaining enlightenment, subduing beings. Kalpas, the three times, the nature of sentient beings and realms, as well as the Dharma and the faculties and intentions of sentient beings, all are seen as equal in the nature body. Therefore, know that the place of enlightenment is immeasurable. After saying this, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the auspicious one born into the Tathagata family, said to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra: 'Good, son of the Buddha! How does the Bodhisattva Mahasattva understand the turning of the wheel of Dharma by the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha?' After saying this, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra said to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva of the Tathagata family.
