Should be understood. Because of following the Dharmadhatu of the Tathagata, like the irreversible Buddha-field, it should be understood immeasurably. O son of the king, thus, the realization of these and others, with many hundreds of thousands of excellent teachings, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should understand the speech of the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly complete Buddha. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra, in order to examine this meaning again, spoke these verses. When the world is destroyed, there are immeasurable four kinds of sounds. Sentient beings arise from the sky due to the fruit of virtue. The four dhyanas are peaceful and without suffering. Hearing that sound, one abandons all realms of desire. Likewise, the sacred speech of the Ten Powers is immeasurable, filling the Dharmadhatu and arising for the sake of sentient beings. By this, one can cross and transcend the ocean of existence. The Sugata's speech is not in the body, nor in the mind. The echoes dwelling in mountains, rocks, valleys, and ravines, like human speech, all echoes can be spoken. By uttering other sounds, that sound is clearly heard, but in that sound, there is no distinction of all sounds. The speech of the one with the Ten Powers, the nature of reality does not discriminate, arises from the conduct and the complete maturation of the senses of others, subduing many sentient beings and making their minds happy. Those with the Ten Powers have no movement of arrogance. Just as the great drum has the sound of urging the Dharma, whenever the gods are attached to sensual pleasures and are heedless, at that time, the sound of the Dharma is shown from the realm of space, hearing that sound, the gods will practice with mindfulness. Likewise, the drum with the sound of the Dharma of the one with the Ten Powers, in all ten directions, truly urges sentient beings. The speech of the Victorious One, the place of birth and the place of cessation are not found. Hearing that sound, sentient beings will attain enlightenment. When the Lord of the Gods, the powerful one, plays with divine objects, even one breath of the goddess has many branches. From one breath of sound, many kinds of sounds arise. Even though hundreds of thousands of sounds arise, there is no discrimination in that. Likewise, the one with the Ten Powers

From proclaiming a single, sovereign tone, Simultaneously arise the vocal limbs of countless beings. Beings listen to the tone according to their wishes, Having heard, they do not conceptualize the sound that dispels afflictions. Just as Brahma, without moving from his seat, Utters a single tone, delighting countless Brahmas. However, that tone of Brahma does not arise for the sake of the retinue, But rather comprehends all the retinue. The Buddha, the Brahma possessing the ten powers, sits on the seat, And with a single tone, fills the entire Dharmadhatu and proclaims it. Not deviating from the retinue, the Buddha is not miserly, Beings who lack faith do not hear the Buddha's voice. Just as all streams of water are of one nature, Of the same taste, non-conceptual, pure, and possessing eight qualities, Due to the difference in the vessels on the earth, When encountering conditions, the forms of water become different. Likewise, all the all-knowing speech of the Buddha's heirs, Is of the same taste, non-conceptual, and the nature of Buddhahood and enlightenment. Due to the difference in the conduct of beings, the forms become different, Beings hear the Sugata's voice differently. The Anavatapta dragon fills the entire Jambudvipa (the earth), And to satisfy the earth, it also sends down streams of rain. Gradually growing crops, forests, and rivers, However, the streams of water do not arise from the body, Nor from the mind. The Bhagavan is also like that, filling the Dharmadhatu, And to satisfy beings, he sends down a great rain of Dharma, Increasing a hundred virtues, pacifying the afflictions of beings, The Buddha's voice is neither outside nor inside. The delightful lord who walks with his hands (referring to the dragon king), For seven days, gathers clouds in this sky, Until the need is fulfilled, he does not send down streams of rain, For the sake of benefit, he later sends down fine streams of rain. The ten powers increase the Dharmadhatu for the benefit of beings, And to fully ripen beings, they do not speak of the ultimate truth, When one becomes a vessel, then they speak of the profound Dharma, Having heard, one enters the Buddha's wisdom without hesitation. Just as the jeweled king of the ocean dragons, Gathers ten ornaments of clouds and sends down heavy rain, Or gathers a hundred ornaments of clouds, gathers a hundred thousand ornaments,
