The supreme vehicle, the lord of vehicles, the best of vehicles, the unsurpassed vehicle, is the vehicle that closely nourishes all sentient beings. Even after hearing that sound, sentient beings develop a greater faith in vastness, have sharp faculties, have cultivated roots of virtue in the past, and are blessed by the blessings of the Tathagata. From the depths of their hearts, they generate the mind of spontaneous enlightenment of the Tathagata. The speech of the Tathagata does not arise from the body, nor does it arise from the mind, but it is due to the accumulation of the virtuous deeds of sentient beings, and it is not impossible to comprehend. O sons of the Victorious Ones! Even with this first door of comprehension, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva should comprehend the speech of the Tathagata. O sons of the Victorious Ones! Furthermore, for example, from mountains, valleys, and crevices of rocks, the echo resounds equally throughout the world. It is without body and invisible, and relies on the condition of other sounds. Although all kinds of sounds and echoes arise, it has no discrimination. O sons of the Victorious Ones! Likewise, the speech of the Tathagata does not abide in a place, nor does it abide in a direction. However, it is not that it does not arise depending on the thoughts and aspirations of sentient beings. It is without designation by sound and is inexpressible. O sons of the Victorious Ones! Even with this second door of comprehension, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva should comprehend the speech of the Tathagata. O sons of the Victorious Ones! Furthermore, for example, the great Dharma drum of the gods, called "Righteous Exhortation to the Dharma," sounds forth from the sky above. When the gods become negligent, that great Dharma drum makes this sound: "O friends! These pleasures of desire are impermanent, deceptive, and quickly perish, and are things that entice children, are approached by children, and are praised by children. Therefore, be mindful and do not be negligent! Otherwise, you will fall into the lower realms!" O sons of the Victorious Ones! After hearing that sound, even the sons of the gods who act negligently

Having become weary from their respective situations, abandoning the desired pleasures of their respective abodes, they go to the place of the king of the gods. Having gone there, they also diminish day by day due to their love for the Dharma and engage in the practice of Dharma. O son of the king, behold that drum of the gods, it neither arises nor perishes, yet it greatly benefits the gods with such great meaning. O son of the king, similarly, the speech of the Tathagata also expands throughout the entirety of the realm of sentient beings, and in order to properly exhort those sentient beings who act carelessly, it proclaims and arises as the sound of the great Dharma. For example, the sound of non-attachment arises. The sound of diligence arises. The sound of impermanence, suffering, and selflessness arises. The sound of peace, nirvana arises. Filling and expanding throughout the entirety of the world realms, in order to make the careless sentient beings rejoice as they wish, and to cause them to enter the path as they wish, thus properly exhorting them, and also fully proclaiming the immeasurable self-born wisdom, the non-retrogression of the conduct of the Bodhisattvas, and the all-pervading and spontaneously accomplished wisdom of the Tathagatas. Having heard that sound, countless immeasurable sentient beings will become extremely diligent in virtuous Dharma, some will enter the Hearer Vehicle, some will enter the Solitary Realizer Vehicle, and some will enter the unsurpassed Great Vehicle. However, the speech of the Tathagata does not enter into anything, and no one can express it in words. O son of the king, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should also comprehend the speech of the Tathagata through this third gate of comprehension. O son of the king, furthermore, for example, the daughter of the god of the king of gods, named Excellent, with a single breath from her mouth, the sound of divine musical instruments arises, possessing a hundred thousand branches, and when that sound arises, it sounds as a hundred thousand different kinds of melodies. O son of the king, behold, even from a single breath, it is possible for immeasurable sound melodies to arise! O
