It benefits by causing maturation on the ground. O sons of the Conqueror, a bodhisattva mahasattva, through this fifth door to be comprehended, should also know that the body of the Thus-Gone One can be seen. O sons of the Conqueror, furthermore, it is like this, for example, when the circle of the moon is about to rise, it produces four wondrous qualities without precedence. What are the four? They are as follows: It overwhelms all the stars. It also fully shows waxing and waning. In all the clear water vessels of Jambudvipa, images also appear clearly. Even when viewed by all sentient beings, it appears to be manifestly present, yet there is no conceptualization or elaboration about it. O sons of the Conqueror, likewise, the body of the Thus-Gone One, like the circle of the moon, also shows four wondrous qualities without precedence. What are the four? They are as follows: It overwhelms all the qualities of all those in training and beyond training, and all solitary buddhas in every way. It also truly shows various different life spans in the manner of various different views of sentient beings who are devoted to it. The body of the Thus-Gone One, in the circle of the moon, has no waxing or waning. In all the realms of the world, images also appear clearly to sentient beings who are vessels of enlightenment, who have superior intentions, whose minds are completely pure, and who are endowed with the strength and power to fully cultivate devotion. Even when viewed by all sentient beings, they each perceive that it appears to them individually, and they hear the Dharma according to their wishes, and they are liberated according to the ground by whatever vehicle they are tamed. In the manner of appearing as it tames sentient beings, the body of the Thus-Gone One also clearly shows itself. The body of the Thus-Gone One, in that circle of the moon, has no conceptualization or elaboration. Although there is no conceptualization and no elaboration, it still fully engages in those activities. O sons of the Conqueror, a bodhisattva mahasattva, through this sixth door to be comprehended, should also know that the body of the Thus-Gone One can be seen. O sons of the Conqueror, furthermore, it is like this, for example, a thousand of the three thousand

The great lord, the great Brahma, with a small amount of karma, completely manifests his body in all the realms of the three-thousand-great-thousand world system. However, the body does not completely separate, nor does the body become distinct. The sentient beings belonging to the three-thousand-great-thousand world system also see the body as being the same, in accordance with the way they possess the same thoughts. Prince, just so, the Tathagata also does not completely separate his body, nor does he have a distinct body, but manifests his body completely to the sentient beings belonging to all the realms of the world system, in accordance with their thoughts and inclinations. The body of the Tathagata does not have any conceptualization, nor does it have any elaboration. Prince, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, through this seventh door to be comprehended, should also know that the body of the Tathagata can be seen. Prince, furthermore, for example, there is a great king of medicine, who is extremely skilled in the implements and rituals of medicine, and who knows all the principles of mantras, and all the medicines of Jambudvipa are under his control. That great king of medicine, through the power of the strength of his previous roots of virtue, and through the power of mantras and vidya-mantras, and through skillful means, as soon as he is seen, he will completely heal the diseases of sentient beings and make them free from disease. Then, when that king of medicine is about to face the time of death, he thinks to himself: Alas, these sentient beings will become helpless after I die. Through the power of my skillful means, I will gather all the medicines together and apply them to my body. Also, through the power and blessings of mantras and vidya-mantras, I will bless my body, so that in any case, after I die, my body will not decay, will not dry up, will not deteriorate, and through walking, coming and going, and sitting, I will also engage in all the activities of a physician for the purpose of healing all diseases. And through the meaning of seeing and hearing, just as before, I will also remain in the future. If he thinks in this way, Prince, just so, the Tathagata, the Arhat
