Those samādhis, also fully know the differences of samādhi. Also fully know the immeasurable samādhi. Also fully know the extremely vast samādhi. Also fully know the various applications of samādhi. Also fully know the signs of samādhi. Also fully know the teachings of samādhi. Also fully know the realm of practice of samādhi. Also fully know the fruit of the similar cause of samādhi. Also fully know the solitude of samādhi. Also fully know the nature of samādhi. Also fully know the arising of samādhi. For example, like from the place of the great Nāga king Anavatapta, four great rivers flow unmixed, without turbidity, clear, bright, without dirt, pure, like the sky, free from dirt. Those also flow through the gates of two, three, and four. Thus, the great river Ganges flows from the mouth of an elephant. The great river Sita flows from the mouth of a lion. The great river Sindhu flows from the mouth of an ox. The great river Pakshu flows from the mouth of a horse. They flow in this way from four mouths in four directions. The Ganges River draws silver sand from the ground and flows, dwelling in silver sand. The Sita River draws diamond sand from the ground and flows, dwelling in diamond sand. The Sita River draws gold sand from the ground and flows, dwelling in gold sand. The Pakshu River draws blue beryl sand from the ground and flows, dwelling in blue beryl sand. The Ganges River flows in the form of a heavenly silver color. The Sita River flows in the form of a heavenly diamond color. The Sindhu River flows in the form of a heavenly gold color. The Pakshu River flows in the form of a heavenly blue beryl color. Those four great rivers also flow from the mouth gate with a measure of one yojana. When those flow, each also circles the great ocean seven times to the right, flowing in four directions, filling the great ocean.

One will be attached to the great lake. Thus, those continents between the great rivers that circle seven times clockwise are also filled with উৎপল (Tibetan, Sanskrit: utpala, Romanized Sanskrit: utpala, literal Chinese meaning: Utpala flower), lotuses, water lilies, white lotuses, and are made of the nature of divine jewels, being pleasing, fragrant, beautiful as edge ornaments, brightly colored, resembling the colors of various jewels, radiant and clear, with one image appearing in another, delightful in color, pleasing to behold, adorned with their nature and extremely pure lands, appearing bright in color, dispelling darkness and bringing light, adorned in a way that is difficult to relinquish and extremely distinct, covered with flowers of various colors, possessing various petals, with pistils of various colors, adorned with flowers whose stamens appear in multiple colors. The inside of that great lake and the center of the lake are fifty yojanas in width and fifty yojanas in depth. Its base is paved with jewel pebbles, existing in an extremely adorned manner due to possessing various colors of jewels. Its banks are surrounded like walls built of various jewels. Its scent is like the fragrance of excellent sandalwood, possessing various fragrances emanating from flowers of various colors. উৎপল (Tibetan, Sanskrit: utpala, Romanized Sanskrit: utpala, literal Chinese meaning: Utpala flower), lotuses, water lilies, and white lotuses are everywhere. Jewel trees are in full bloom, surrounding all sides. When the son of the sky, the sun, rises, the sun's rays fall on the jewels and pebbles in the lake, on the flowers, on the sands along the rivers, on the shores, on the trunks of the lakes and jewel trees that the rivers circle clockwise, and on the branches, leaves, and flowers, then, even if each ray shines, it appears as if covered with hundreds of thousands of billions of nets of light residing in the realm of various jewel sources. Everything appears in the color of that pure light, as if soft, so the great lake Anavatapta appears to possess all excellent forms. Around that great lake Anavatapta, adorned with jewels, pleasing and
