O sons of the Buddhas, just as a golden Sal tree, adorned by a skilled craftsman, and completely belonging to the noble limbs of a Chakravartin king, worn on the head or neck, cannot be overcome or stolen by the adornments of all the kings of the realms and all the sentient beings of the four continents. O sons of the Buddhas, similarly, the roots of virtue of a Bodhisattva abiding in the Good Intelligence Ground of a Bodhisattva cannot be stolen or overcome by all the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Bodhisattvas abiding in the lower grounds. The light of that root of virtue illuminates the afflictions and mental darkness of sentient beings, and turns them away from it. O sons of the Buddhas, just as the Great Brahma, who has power over two thousand worlds, completely illuminates the darkness of all the realms of the two thousand worlds. O sons of the Buddhas, similarly, the light of the root of virtue of a Bodhisattva abiding in the Good Intelligence Ground of a Bodhisattva also illuminates the afflictions and mental darkness of sentient beings, and turns them away from it. Among the ten perfections, it mainly belongs to the perfection of power, but the remaining perfections are also not neglected in being practiced as much as possible. O sons of the Buddhas, this is known as the Good Intelligence Ground of a Bodhisattva, which is a brief explanation of the ninth ground of a Bodhisattva. To explain it extensively would require endless eons to fully understand. The Bodhisattva who abides in this ground mostly becomes a Great Brahma, having obtained great strength and power, ruling and subduing two thousand worlds, not being subdued by others, understanding the meaning of harmony, obtaining great power, being skilled and capable in teaching all the Paramitas of the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Bodhisattvas to sentient beings, and not being robbed by showing the complete inquiry of the minds of sentient beings. Whether it is giving, kind speech, beneficial action, or consistent action, whatever root of virtue is created, how can all of these
