Furthermore, they fully and truly understand the habits of those who have cultivated habits and those who have not. They understand how they are influenced by the habits associated with which path and how they are connected. They understand how they are influenced by the behavior of sentient beings, just as they behave. They understand how they are influenced by the cultivation of actions and afflictions, just as they are cultivated. They understand how they are influenced by the cultivation of virtuous and non-virtuous actions, as well as actions that are not specified. They understand how they are influenced to be reborn again, how they are gradually influenced, how they have been going on for a long time without interruption, how they are influenced by the afflictions they have inflicted, how they are influenced by what has become a thing and what has not become a thing, and how they are influenced by seeing and hearing the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Tathagatas. They fully and truly understand. They fully and truly understand the aggregates of sentient beings, whether they are rightly determined, wrongly determined, or neither. They are rightly determined by right view, wrongly determined by wrong view, and undetermined by being separated from both. They are wrongly determined by any of the five heinous crimes, rightly determined by the five faculties, and undetermined by being separated from both. They are wrongly determined by the eight wrong paths, rightly determined by the right path, and undetermined by the absence of future existence and by being separated from both. They are wrongly determined by not abandoning miserliness, jealousy, and unkindness, and by engaging in them. They are rightly determined by cultivating the unsurpassed noble path, and they fully and truly understand the aggregates that are shown to be undetermined by being separated from both. O sons of the Victorious Ones! A Bodhisattva who possesses such wisdom is said to abide in the Bodhisattva Ground of Good Intelligence. Having fully understood the various behaviors of sentient beings, the Bodhisattva who abides in this Bodhisattva Ground of Good Intelligence approaches the accomplishment of liberation in accordance with those behaviors. He fully understands the perfectly proclaimed Tathāgata-bhūmi as it is. Having understood it in this way, he teaches the Dharma to sentient beings as it is, such as the way of distinguishing thoughts, the way of distinguishing latent tendencies, the way of distinguishing faculties, the way of distinguishing inclinations, and the way of distinguishing objects of activity, and closely cultivates wisdom, comprehends the causes of all objects of activity, and should follow the way of completely traversing the dense realm. He should eliminate whatever kinds of habits of birth and afflictive actions there are, and in accordance with the way of arranging the aggregates, he teaches the Dharma by obtaining liberation in accordance with the vehicle to which he is inclined. Thus, the Bodhisattva who abides in this Bodhisattva-bhūmi of good intelligence abides in the position of a great Dharma speaker and completely protects the treasury of the Tathāgata's Dharma. He is endowed with the manner of speaking the Dharma, follows the immeasurable skill in wisdom, and teaches the Dharma with the words of a Bodhisattva accomplished by the four kinds of perfect knowledge of distinctions. In this regard, the four kinds of perfect knowledge of distinctions of a Bodhisattva constantly and continuously arise genuinely without being mixed. What are the four? They are as follows: perfect knowledge of the distinction of Dharma, perfect knowledge of the distinction of meaning, perfect knowledge of the distinction of terms, and perfect knowledge of the distinction of eloquence. Through the perfect knowledge of the distinction of Dharma, he fully understands the own-characteristics of all Dharmas. Through the perfect knowledge of the distinction of meaning, he fully understands the distinctions of all Dharmas. Through the perfect knowledge of the distinction of terms, he fully understands the non-mixing presentation of all Dharmas. Through the perfect knowledge of the distinction of eloquence, he fully understands the continuous and uninterrupted harmony and connection of all Dharmas. Furthermore, through the perfect knowledge of the distinction of Dharma, he fully understands the absence of self-nature of all Dharmas. Because of truly knowing the various different intrepidities, he teaches the Dharma by being skilled in the causes of ultimate truth. Furthermore, because of truly knowing the various different dharmas, he thoroughly knows that dharmas do not change from one way. Because of truly knowing the various different meanings, he correctly engages in skillfully comprehending the aggregates, elements, sources, and dependent origination. Because of truly knowing the various different definitive words, he teaches the Dharma with words that are extremely pleasing to the ear, with sounds that all beings aspire to hear. Because of truly knowing the various different intrepidities, he teaches the Dharma with endless mindfulness, again and again. Furthermore, because of truly knowing the various different dharmas, he thoroughly knows the various differences of correctly focusing on one vehicle.
