Thus, the great Bodhisattva named Liberation Moon gathered and sat. Thereafter, the Bodhisattva Liberation Moon, knowing the complete conceptualization of the minds of the Bodhisattva's retinue and others, asked the Bodhisattva Vajra Essence about that meaning in verses of song: Why do those with pure discrimination, endowed with mindfulness and wisdom, speak of the excellence of the ground, yet the wise do not explain it separately? All of this is definitely understood, and it is a Bodhisattva of great renown. Why do you speak of the ground, but do not explain it separately? These fearless sons of the Buddha all wish to listen very much. Please explain and separately elucidate the meaning of the ground in truth. This retinue is very disciplined, without laziness and endowed with virtue, abiding in the excellent place of purity, endowed with qualities and wisdom. Looking at each other, all abide with reverence. Just as honey is not abandoned, so too do they desire the supreme nectar. The fearless Vajra Essence, having heard that with great wisdom, spoke to the son of the Sugata in order to make the retinue happy: Because the Buddha's body arises perfectly, the conduct of the Bodhisattva is well shown, and the sacred nature of the ground should be distinguished. This is a rare and supreme joy. Subtle and difficult to see, abandoning conceptualization, because it is separate from the ground of the mind, practice is very difficult. It is the uncontaminated field of activity for the wise, and beings who hear it will develop faith and joy. One should establish thoughts like a vajra, have faith in the supreme wisdom of the Buddha, and if one knows the ground of the selfless mind, then one can endure and listen to this supreme wisdom. Just as colors are painted in the sky, and as the wind dwells in the realm of space, so too is uncontaminated wisdom very difficult to see, and one should distinguish it with patience. Here, I think in my mind, it is very difficult for beings to have faith in the inconceivable and supreme Buddha wisdom, therefore I have not spoken or explained it. Having said this, the Bodhisattva Liberation Moon said to the Bodhisattva Vajra Essence: How wonderful!

O son of the Buddhas, this assembly is of Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who have thoroughly trained their minds in these dharmas, have completely trained in all discriminations, have practiced what is to be practiced, have accumulated vast collections, have attended upon and revered hundreds of thousands of millions of Buddhas, possess immeasurable qualities and wisdom, are without doubt and hesitation, are free from afflictions, abide in faith and higher intention, and are completely pure, being composed entirely of those who do not rely on others. O son of the Buddhas, please speak well of the blessings of the Tathagata, for all these Bodhisattvas are manifestly abiding in such a profound place. Then, in order to clarify this meaning, the Bodhisattva Liberated Moon spoke in verse to the Bodhisattva Vajra Heart: The conduct of the Bodhisattva is unsurpassed, The grounds are well divided and thoroughly purified, By examining them, cultivate wisdom and attain enlightenment, Speak of the supreme and holy peaceful dharmas. This assembly is pure, the best without afflictions, Faith and intention are very well trained, Practice practice with many millions of Buddhas, Examine this ground and have faith. Then the Bodhisattva Vajra Heart said to the Bodhisattva Liberated Moon: O son of the Buddhas, in this way, this assembly, the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, have thoroughly trained their minds in such a profound place of such dharmas, have completely trained in all discriminations, have practiced very well, have accumulated vast collections, have accumulated vast roots of virtue in hundreds of thousands of millions of Buddhas, possess immeasurable qualities and wisdom, are without doubt and hesitation, are free from afflictions, abide in faith and higher intention, and are completely pure, being composed entirely of those who do not rely on others. However, if other beings with little faith hear of such a profound aspect, an inconceivable place, and after hearing it, they become doubtful and have two minds, then for a long time they will become the cause of harm, meaninglessness, and unhappiness, so out of compassion for them,
