Those roots of virtue, may they also be completely dedicated to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete, and fully awakened enlightenment. Serving those Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly complete Buddhas, and from them, listening to the Dharma teachings with reverence and respect. Hearing, receiving, and retaining. Having heard, also diligently and correctly practicing as appropriate. From them, most people renounce the world into the teachings of those Tathagatas. Having renounced the world, one will also become a Dharma speaker who has fully attained the dharani of retaining what is heard. Thus, the roots of virtue of that Bodhisattva who dwells on this Bodhisattva ground, which is extremely difficult to attain, are extremely purified in many eons, completely purified, and remain radiantly clear. In countless hundreds of thousands of eons, countless thousands of eons, countless hundreds of thousands of eons, countless billions of hundreds of thousands of eons, countless trillions of eons, countless trillions of hundreds of eons, countless trillions of thousands of eons, countless trillions of hundreds of thousands of eons, countless billions of trillions of hundreds of thousands of eons, those roots of virtue are extremely purified, completely purified, and remain radiantly clear. O sons of the Victorious Ones! That golden Śālī grass, if adorned with precious musāragalva jewels, will shine even more completely, become even more pure, and its light will become extremely clear and bright. O sons of the Victorious Ones! Similarly, the roots of virtue of a Bodhisattva who dwells on this Bodhisattva ground, which is extremely difficult to attain, when practiced with skillful means and wisdom, will be even more purified, completely purified, radiantly clear, and bright. It is endowed with the qualities of accomplishing the union of wisdom, and is not stolen and is thoroughly examined. O sons of the Victorious Ones! For example, the light of the immeasurable palace of the sun and moon, stars and constellations, is not stolen by the wind mandala and does not interact with the wind. O sons of the Victorious Ones! Similarly, the roots of virtue of one who dwells on this Bodhisattva ground, which is extremely difficult to attain, with skillful means, wisdom, realization, and mind.

Also, with extremely thorough examination, it cannot be taken away by Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas. It is not practiced in common with worldly people. Among the ten pāramitās, the pāramitā of dhyāna is the most important, but it is not that the others are not practiced as much as possible. O sons of the Victorious Ones! This, called the 'Extremely Joyful Victory' of the Bodhisattva, is a brief explanation of the fifth Bodhisattva ground. The Bodhisattva who abides in this ground mostly becomes the king of the gods in Tuṣita, skilled and powerful in completely refuting all the heretical positions of all sentient beings. Whether it is giving, gentle speech, accomplishing benefits, or acting in accordance with the Dharma, whatever root of virtue is initiated, one should think: How can all of this become the most excellent, the most important, the most noble, the most outstanding, the most sacred, the most supreme, the guide, the complete guide of all sentient beings, and even become dependent on the omniscient wisdom? One should remember the Buddha, remember the Dharma, remember the Sangha, remember the Bodhisattva, remember the conduct of the Bodhisattva, remember the ground of the Bodhisattva, remember the pāramitās, remember the powers, remember the fearlessness, remember the unique qualities of the Buddha, and even remember the omniscient wisdom that possesses all the supreme aspects, and not be separated from it. If he wishes, in a moment, a short time, he can obtain thousands upon thousands of samādhis and abide in them; he can see thousands upon thousands of Buddhas and truly know their blessings; he can travel through thousands upon thousands of world realms; he can go to thousands upon thousands of Buddha lands; he can make thousands upon thousands of world realms appear; he can ripen thousands upon thousands of sentient beings; he can abide for thousands upon thousands of kalpas; he can deeply enter into thousands upon thousands of kalpas of the past and future; he can variously
