Now, understand well! Becoming a disease, accompanied by the utterance of sorrowful laments, Harms, conflicts, suffering, and unpleasantness follow, Suffering, mind bewildered, like a burning heap of aggregates, From endless aggregates, seeing everywhere ablaze, it arises. Weary of the three realms, without any clinging mind, Desiring the wisdom of the Sugatas, without any other thought, Inconceivable, immeasurable, the boundless beyond, The Victorious One's wisdom, unharmed, thoroughly see those. After seeing those unharmed Buddha's wisdom, For the sake of completely liberating the unprotected and helpless, Always impoverished, the three fires burning everywhere, In the prison of existence, Minds surrounded by hundreds of sufferings, Afflictions obscured, various views and desires diminished, Children who have lost the joy of the Sugata's Dharma, Flowing in the stream of samsara, frightened by liberation, "I am the protector," thus firmly initiating diligence. Desiring wisdom, without dependence, performing the welfare of others, Understand what is the cause, what is the cause of the path of liberation. If there is no other dharma besides the unobscured Sugata's wisdom, That Sugata's wisdom also arises from the power of wisdom, Bodhisattvas understand that wisdom arises from hearing. Having understood thus, initiate diligence to practice the meaning of hearing, Day and night, engage in the cause of listening, without any other activity, Seeking the meaning of Dharma, completely relying on Dharma. Jewels, pearls, collections of precious things, and friends, Many riches of existence, perfect and splendid palaces, Wives and sons, and harmonious retinues, The wise, with a mind of non-attachment, give for the sake of Dharma. Heads, bodies, hands, feet, eyes, and likewise one's own flesh, Tongues, teeth, ears, noses, and all the blood, Cherished feet and hearts, completely give away. This is not considered difficult, hearing is considered pure. Some come to him and say this: If you can jump into that ever-burning pit of flames, I will explain the precious Dharma of the Sugatas. Having heard, with a non-inferior mind, jump in for the sake of merit. For the sake of the meaning of a single word of Dharma, measuring on the summit of Mount Meru, Even if jumping from the realm of Brahma filled with the fire of three thousand worlds, Still difficult to obtain the vast Bodhi of the Victorious Ones, Then, ordinary people

It is easy to understand and extremely peaceful. As long as one can attain the wisdom of the supreme sage, and until then, if one can endure the suffering of the uninterrupted hell, what need is there to mention the various sufferings of humans? For the sake of hearing the supreme Dharma, I will practice. Having heard the Dharma, I will contemplate it properly. Similarly, the four immeasurable meditations and the four formless meditations, as well as the five excellent superknowledges, can also be manifested and attained. However, they are not born from these, nor are they transformations of these. In this excellent place, one makes offerings to countless Buddhas and listens to the Dharma with the mind, becoming gentle, free from wrong views, and completely pure, like flawless gold weighed on a scale. This place is endowed with virtues, is the master of the gods, and can eliminate the various forms of control, accomplishing activities, and the disease of desire. It guides many gods to the path of virtue, and has no other thoughts than desiring the virtues of the Buddha. The princes who dwell in this place diligently practice and attain no less than hundreds and thousands of samadhis. They can also clearly see the Buddhas who possess excellent names and adorned bodies, all of whom are endowed with excellent aspirations and inconceivable virtues. Thus, this third excellent ground is spoken by the sons of the Buddhas for the benefit of all beings in the world who are diligent Bodhisattvas. It is called "Illuminating," and is the third ground of the Bodhisattva. Having heard of this excellent, pure, and desirable ground, and such vast conduct, the princes were delighted and extremely satisfied, and scattered flowers to the Buddhas. By proclaiming and speaking of this Dharma, even the great ocean of salt water can be moved. The goddesses sing the supreme Dharma in melodious and pleasing songs. The sovereign gods are extremely delighted, and the Sugatas scatter precious divine objects and treasures. The Buddhas who have accomplished meaning and perfected virtues proclaim the scriptures at that time. Why is this so? Because this supreme Dharma, the excellent conduct of the complete Bodhi Bodhisattva, is heard here today, and is extremely difficult to hear even in hundreds of thousands of kalpas. The princes are wise and possess excellent conduct. For the benefit of gods and humans, please speak again. The meaning of this ground is certain and without error, and the many gods will be delighted to hear it. The son of the Sugata, Liberation Moon, again...
