Having transformed, they abide. O sons of the Victorious Ones! For example, a golden grain of sand, when used in the hands of a skilled craftsman, is like measuring how many taels it is worth. O sons of the Victorious Ones! Similarly, the perverted desire of a Bodhisattva, a great being, who abides in this Illuminating Ground of a Bodhisattva, will arise without diminishing. Perverted hatred will also arise without diminishing. Perverted ignorance will also arise without diminishing. Those roots of virtue will also increase and become completely pure, and become workable. His patience and faith will also become even more completely pure. Thoughts that are happy and certain for friends, as well as thoughts that are not disturbed, thoughts that are without deception, thoughts that are without turbidity, thoughts that are without high or low, thoughts that benefit sentient beings without expecting reward, thoughts that repay kindness, thoughts that are without deceit and deception, and thoughts that are without stubbornness will become completely pure, and his four objects of collection will have a greater component of accomplishing deeds. Of the ten perfections, the perfection of patience is the greater component. The others are also not not striving to accomplish them as they are and as they can. O sons of the Victorious Ones! This is called the Illuminating Ground of a Bodhisattva, which is the third ground of a Bodhisattva. The Bodhisattva who abides therein mostly becomes the king of the gods, Indra, skilled and capable in conveniently averting the desires and attachments of sentient beings. Whether it is giving, or sweet speech, or accomplishing benefit, or doing a root of virtue that is in accordance with meaning, How are all of these? May it become the most supreme of all sentient beings, may it become the most principal, may it become the eldest, may it become the most excellent, may it become the most sacred, may it become the most unsurpassed, may it become the guide, may it become the skillful guide, may it become the complete guide, and may it become dependent on the omniscient wisdom. Thinking of the Buddha in mind, thinking of the Dharma in mind, thinking of the Sangha in mind, thinking of the Bodhisattva in mind, thinking of the conduct of the Bodhisattva in mind.

And, contemplating the bodhisattva ground, contemplating the pāramitās, contemplating the powers, contemplating the fearlessness, and contemplating the unshared qualities of the Buddha, up to the omniscient wisdom that possesses all supreme aspects, contemplating and not separating from it. If one desires it, then in an instant, a moment, a short while, one can easily obtain hundreds of thousands of samādhis, and enter into them; one can see hundreds of thousands of Buddhas, and truly know their blessings; one can shake hundreds of thousands of world realms; one can go to hundreds of thousands of Buddha fields; one can illuminate hundreds of thousands of world realms; one can ripen hundreds of thousands of sentient beings; one can abide for hundreds of thousands of kalpas; one can enter into hundreds of thousands of kalpas of the past and future; one can reveal hundreds of thousands of dharma doors; one can manifest hundreds of thousands of bodies; and in each and every body, one can also truly manifest hundreds of thousands of bodhisattva retinues, one should generate such diligence. All those great beings with the power of bodhisattva aspirations, Transform through the excellence of their aspirations. Their bodies or light, or miraculous powers, or eyes or realms of activity, or voices, or behaviors, or ornaments, or blessings, or faith, or manifestations, even through many kalpas, many hundreds of thousands of kalpas, many thousands of kalpas, many hundreds of thousands of kalpas, even up to many hundreds of thousands of billions of kotis of kalpas, are difficult to count. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Vajragarbha, in order to further examine and explain the meaning of this ground, at that time spoke these verses: Those who are the source of qualities, with pure intention, and tranquil minds, Disgusted and free from desire, possessing a desireless mind. Those who generate bodhicitta, teach the Dharma, are joyful and possess great strength. The wise, possessing a great self-mastery mind, subdue the third. The wise who abide in this illuminating direction are, Suffering, impermanent, impure, and easily perishable dharmas, Cannot abide long, momentary, without essence are, The characteristics of conditioned phenomena, coming.
