Thus. It leads to the birthplace of animals. It leads to the world of Yama. Thereafter, even if one is born as a human, two kinds of Vipaka will be manifestly accomplished, namely: a wife with warts and unruly servants. Lying leads sentient beings to hell. It leads to the birthplace of animals. It leads to the world of Yama. Thereafter, even if one is born as a human, two kinds of Vipaka will be manifestly accomplished, namely: much slander and being deceived by others. Slander leads sentient beings to hell.

These paths of the ten virtuous actions are the cause of accumulating great and immeasurable suffering. I shall abandon these paths of the ten non-virtuous actions and abide in the joy of delighting in and having faith in the Dharma. That is to say, having abandoned these paths of the ten non-virtuous actions, abide in the paths of the ten virtuous actions, and further, diligently apply oneself to them. Towards sentient beings, generate a mind that is even more beneficial than before, a mind of happiness, a mind of love, a mind of compassion, a mind of affection, a mind of benefit, a mind of protection, a mind of a teacher, a mind of a guide, and a mind of equanimity, and think thus: Alas, these sentient beings have fallen into wrong views, their wisdom is unequal, their thoughts are unequal, they walk densely on the wrong path. I should lead them onto the true path, the path of correct seeing, and fully reveal the suchness as it is. Alas, these sentient beings are discordant, engaged in disputes and battles, constantly and continuously burning with anger and resentment. I should lead them to the attainment of unsurpassed great love, and fully approach and realize it. Alas, these sentient beings are not content, they are attached to the wealth of others, they live in an extremely impoverished way, and they act accordingly. I should lead them to live with the complete purity of body, speech, and mind. Alas, these sentient beings possess desire, hatred, ignorance, and the basis of existence, and the flames of various afflictions are constantly and continuously burning, yet they do not seek a way to escape from this. I should lead them to Nirvana, where all afflictions are completely pacified and there is no suffering. Alas, these sentient beings are obscured by the darkness of ignorance and the haze of dimness, they have entered into thick darkness, they are far from the light of wisdom, they labor in the great wilderness of samsara, and they are immersed in the wilderness of wrong views. I should, by all means, reveal the true nature of all dharmas.
