To bring to maturity, and not to turn back from taming. For the sake of protecting all sentient beings, one also holds great compassion as the foremost field. If I have not matured the realm of sentient beings, who will mature them? If I have not tamed the realm of sentient beings, who will tame them? If I have not pacified the realm of sentient beings, who will pacify them? If I have not known the realm of sentient beings, who will know them? If I have not purified the realm of sentient beings, who will purify them? Therefore, I truly see such profound Dharma, and this liberation into the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment alone is not in accordance with my way. This realm of sentient beings has entered the path of the great wilderness, has become weary from being completely seized by afflictions, has become ill from the exhaustion of experiences, has entered a prison surrounded by craving, has not moved from the hells of sentient beings, the birthplaces of animals, and the world of Yama, is not weary of the aggregates of suffering, cannot be restrained by the three vows, has deeply entered into darkness, and without seeing the suffering of birth and death in the womb of ignorance, has become without leisure, having obtained the eight states of no leisure. Having become defiled by the dimness of mind, afflicted by the limbs of various afflictive diseases, wandering in the great wilderness, surrounded by the wilderness of views. Thus, when a Bodhisattva contemplates the realm of sentient beings, this thought arises: Thus, having entered into the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, having entered into the unsurpassed light of wisdom, to abandon these sentient beings who are not yet fully matured and tamed, and to manifestly awaken to the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, is untimely. I shall fully mature sentient beings in the conduct of Bodhisattvas for incalculable, incalculable eons. At such a time, I shall fully mature those sentient beings who have not fully matured in enlightenment, and tame those who have not been tamed. Thus he thinks. O sons of the Victorious Ones, this is a Bodhisattva, a great being.

The sixth Bodhisattva conduct of those Bodhisattvas is called Good View. Because Bodhisattvas abide in those conducts, the world with gods and demons, and Brahma, and the multitude of ascetics and Brahmins, and the world with gods and Gandharvas, humans and non-humans, and Asuras, is beautiful to behold. Even seeing that Bodhisattva makes sentient beings meaningful in unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Hearing and veneration also make it meaningful in unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Whatever the object, all association with that Bodhisattva becomes meaningful in unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. The Sutra of Great Expanse Called Buddha's Marvelous Qualities, Chapter Twenty-Six. O sons of the Victorious Ones! What is the seventh Bodhisattva conduct of the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, called Non-Abiding? O sons of the Victorious Ones! Here, the Bodhisattva enters countless realms of the world with a non-abiding mind. Each generation of thought purifies countless fields, but does not generate attachment to the fields. He goes to see countless Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and for the sake of countless flowers, countless incense, countless garlands, countless ointments, countless powders, countless clothes, countless jewels, countless banners, countless streamers, countless ornaments, countless intentional actions, and the ultimate of countless non-intentional actions, in order to abide in the inconceivable dharma with countless thoughts, he goes for the sake of seeing, prostrating, offering, and venerating countless Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and with each generation of thought, he sees countless Buddhas, the Bhagavat, but does not generate attachment to those Buddhas. He does not generate attachment to the Buddha fields. He does not generate attachment to the marks. He does not generate attachment to the excellent signs. He does not generate attachment to the light of the Buddhas.
