The various faculties of sentient beings on earth are transmitted one after another, but ultimately it is not possible. Just as it is said in accordance with that way of belief, one should also understand the different faculties. The various faculties of those beings are transmitted one after another, and it is possible that the ten directions will eventually be exhausted. However, the root of virtue of a Bodhisattva who first generates the mind for unsurpassed perfect enlightenment is endless. Why is that? Sons of the Conquerors, in order to know the various faculties of so many sentient beings, Bodhisattvas do not generate the mind for unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Rather, in order to fully understand the faculties of all sentient beings belonging to all realms of the world, Bodhisattvas generate the mind for unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Just as it is said in the scriptures, just as it is said for faith, one should also understand the faculties, namely: the faculties that have become coarse, the faculties that possess union, the faculties that are fully examined, the faculties that naturally follow, the faculties that possess the collection of causes, the faculties that arise from the collection of conditions, and in order to manifest enlightenment with the knowledge of completely distinguishing and entering into equality without exception for all the networks of faculties, Bodhisattvas generate the mind for unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Sons of the Conquerors, let alone those previous examples of various faculties! Sons of the Conquerors, here, if a certain person is born, with one generation of mind, he will be able to fully understand the various thoughts of sentient beings belonging to countless realms of the world. In that way, with each generation of mind, one can understand. Even if countless eons are exhausted in the eastern direction, it is not possible to exhaust the various thoughts of sentient beings. Just as it is said in the scriptures, the various thoughts of sentient beings in the ten directions may be understood, but the root of virtue of a Bodhisattva who first generates the mind for unsurpassed perfect enlightenment cannot be exhausted. Why is that?

Na. O sons of the Buddhas, bodhisattvas do not generate the mind for unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment in order to fully know the various thoughts of so many sentient beings. Thus, in order to attain enlightenment by fully knowing the various thoughts of sentient beings belonging to all the worlds, bodhisattvas generate the mind for unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. As it is said in the scriptures, for example: for the dense thoughts that have become, the thoughts associated with actions, the thoughts that are fully examined, the thoughts that naturally follow, the thoughts associated with the collection of causes, and the thoughts that arise from the collection of conditions, in order to attain enlightenment by equally entering all the networks of thoughts and with the wisdom of complete awareness, bodhisattvas generate the mind for unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. O sons of the Buddhas, let alone those previous examples of various thoughts. O sons of the Buddhas, here a person is born, and with just one aspiration, he can fully know the actions of sentient beings belonging to countless worlds. As it is said in the scriptures, for example: the various actions of the ten directions that are transmitted from one to another, those actions may be exhausted, but the root of virtue of the first generation of the mind of a bodhisattva for unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment cannot be exhausted. Why is that? O sons of the Buddhas, bodhisattvas do not generate the mind for unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment in order to understand the various actions of so many sentient beings. Thus, in order to attain enlightenment by fully knowing the various actions of sentient beings belonging to all the worlds, bodhisattvas generate the mind for unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. As it is said in the scriptures, for example: in order to equally enter between all the networks of actions, and to attain enlightenment with the wisdom of complete awareness,
