Residing. The master of the lamp-making ascetic residing in the city called Joyful, having attained the supreme enlightenment of perfect and complete enlightenment, turned the supreme wheel of Dharma. Thus, gradually walking for the benefit of sentient beings, he arrived at the city of Joyful and stayed in the great and delightful monastery. When those who lived there heard of this, they took in their hands fresh butter and ghee, medicines, clothes and bedding, and garlands of incense. Some bowed to the Buddha, some to the Dharma, and some to the Sangha, and with joy and great reverence for him, they went to the Teacher. After prostrating, they made offerings of incense and other offerings, and sat down on one side, listening to the Dharma teachings, and arranged to be guests tomorrow, and departed from their own places. After doing these things, they prepared a great feast for the next day and decorated the city. They decorated the path by which the one with the ten powers would come, and filled the uneven places with earth, making the ground level. They adorned it with sand like the color of silver. They spread out garlands of flowers and loose flowers. They hung up banners and flags of various colors of cloth. They arranged and placed trees of fruit trees and full vases of water. At that time, the ascetic Good Intelligence rose up from his own place and walked in the sky above those people, and the people, pleased and satisfied, saw him and asked him as he descended from the sky to one side of the earth: "O fortunate ones, who has decorated these paths with these things?" Therefore it is said: "The Tathagata, the worthy one, dwells at the end of the land and direction. Having given to that one, this path, with a joyful heart, the path faces one direction. I at that time, at that time, my own dwelling was being made, and the bark clothes were blown by the wind. At that time I was walking in the sky. With joy, satisfaction, and happiness, I saw people sweeping the path. After descending from the sky, I immediately asked the people. With joy, satisfaction, and happiness, O wise and intelligent great ones, while leveling the path, for whom are you decorating this path?" The people
