After enjoying the pleasure garden, it was said to be the foundation of the Buddha's teachings, and the great earth shook. Among the Jambudvipa, after abandoning the garden of light, the earth shook, and there was no other place. After abandoning the great monastery of Simhala, the great earth shook, and there was no other place. The Teacher, after enjoying the pleasure of the garden of light, rejoiced with the king, rose from his seat, and with a retinue of monks, went to the garden of light. At that time, at that time, Shariputra and Maudgalyayana, the two wanderers, relied on Rajagriha and thought of seeking nectar. Among them, Shariputra saw the venerable Ashvajit entering for alms, his mind became extremely pure, and after giving food, he heard the verse "All dharmas arise from causes," and attained the fruit of stream-entry. He also spoke that verse to his friend, the wanderer Maudgalyayana. He also attained the fruit of stream-entry. The two of them also admired the Victorious One, and with their retinue, they renounced in the presence of the Teacher. Among them, the great Maudgalyayana attained Arhatship after seven days. The venerable Shariputra attained Arhatship after half a month, and the two of them were also regarded as the chief of the Teacher's Shravakas. On the very day that the venerable Shariputra attained Arhatship, the Blessed One held the first Shravaka assembly. Afterwards, the Tathagata again resided in that garden of light. At that time, the great King Shuddhodana heard that "My son, after six years of asceticism, attained the supreme perfect enlightenment, turned the wheel of Dharma, and resides in the garden of light in Rajagriha," he summoned the ministers and said to each other, "Come here, lead a thousand men to Rajagriha, and say in my words, 'Your father, King Shuddhodana, wants to see you, please bring my son.'" The ministers also said, "We will do as the gods command," and accepted the king's decree with their heads, leading a retinue of a thousand men.

In that way, having traveled a distance of sixty yojanas, he arrived at the monastery where the Ten-Powered One (the Buddha) was residing among the fourfold assembly and teaching the Dharma. He temporarily set aside the task sent by the king and sat at the end of all the retinue, and having heard the Dharma taught by the Buddha, just as he was seated, together with a thousand men, he attained Arhatship and entered into ordination. The Blessed One extended his hand, saying, "Monks, come here." Immediately, everyone took the alms bowl and the three Dharma robes that had arisen from magical power, and became like a centenarian elder. From the time of attaining Arhatship, he was once again called a noble one, and remained silent for a while. He did not tell the Ten-Powered One (the Buddha) about the letter sent by the king. Not one of the people sent by the king returned, and no news of the letter was heard. The king thought, "Come here, you go." Having determined in that way, he sent another minister. He went and, just as before, together with his retinue, attained Arhatship and remained without speaking. Having ascertained this, the king sent nine ministers, each minister with a retinue of a thousand men. Everyone completed their own task, became silent, and remained there. The king thought, "Not even the news of a single letter has been received." He thought, "These people, because they dislike me, do not even speak of the news of a single letter. Who will do as I say?" The king examined everyone and saw Black Charka. He was a minister who accomplished all the king's affairs, an inner minister, very trustworthy, born on the same day as the Tathagata (the Buddha), and a close friend of his. Then, the king summoned the minister and said, "Son Black Charka, I want to see my son, I sent nine thousand men, and not one has returned, and there has been no news of even a single letter. Have they all fallen ill, or have they encountered an obstacle to their lives? I want to see my son while I am still alive, can you see my son?" He said, "Yes, your majesty."
