Establish yourself firmly and abide! Therefore it is said: Not only these, but also those dharmas that desire to attain Bodhi, others should also seek. Whatever dharma is the means to attain, at that time one sees the seeking. The eighth is the Paramita of Equanimity (lHag gnas), which the great beings of the past approached and relied upon. For the time being, with this eighth (Equanimity), establish yourself firmly and abide! If you are unwavering in that, you will attain true Bodhi. Just as a great rock on a mountain, unwavering and well-established, cannot be moved by great winds, it abides in its own place. Likewise, you, in Equanimity, being unmoving in all things, having become the Paramita of Equanimity, will attain true Bodhi. Furthermore, one should also observe that not only these are the dharmas that lead to Buddhahood. Especially when seeking, seeing the ninth, the Paramita of Loving-kindness, one becomes such a state. Wise, virtuous, and ascetic one, from now on you should also perfect the Paramita of Loving-kindness. Whether beneficial or not, one should treat them with a single mind. Just as water cools both sinful and virtuous beings and touches them equally. Therefore, you should also be like this, having a single mind of loving-kindness towards all sentient beings, and you will attain Buddhahood. Establish yourself firmly and abide in the ninth, the Paramita of Loving-kindness! Therefore it is said: Not only these, but also those dharmas that desire to attain Bodhi, others should also seek. Whatever dharma is the means to attain, at that time one sees the seeking. The ninth is the Paramita of Loving-kindness, which the great beings of the past approached and relied upon. For the time being, with this ninth (Loving-kindness), abide lovingly! If you desire to attain Bodhi, loving-kindness will become incomparable. Just as with what is called water, whether virtuous or sinful beings, equally feel coolness and touch it, removing dust and dirt. Likewise, you should equally apply loving-kindness to both the unhelpful and the helpful. Having become the Paramita of Loving-kindness, you will attain true Bodhi. Furthermore, one should also observe that not only these are the dharmas that lead to Buddhahood.

It should be viewed in this way. Especially when seeking, after seeing the tenth giving up paramita, such a thought arose in the mind. Wise and virtuous ascetic, from now on, you should also perfect the giving up paramita. Happiness or suffering should also be in an intermediate state. Just as when clean and unclean things are smeared on the earth, it remains in an intermediate state. Likewise, you should also be like this, if you remain in an intermediate state with happiness and suffering, you will attain Buddhahood. You should firmly abide in the tenth giving up paramita. Therefore, it is said: Not only this, but whatever Dharma one desires to attain Bodhi, one should also seek others. Whatever can attain the Dharma, one can see it when seeking at that time. The tenth giving up paramita is what the great men of the past approached and relied upon. For the time being, one should firmly abide in this tenth (giving up). Just as a scale becomes full, one will attain true Bodhi. Just as it is called the earth, when clean and unclean things are smeared on it, it is without dependence and abandonment, abandoning without anger. Just as you also, for joy and sorrow, at all times like a scale, after becoming the giving up paramita, you will attain true Bodhi. Then it was thought that these worldly people, for Bodhisattvas, are those Dharmas that perfect Bodhi and attain Buddhahood. If you abandon the ten paramitas, there is nothing else. These ten paramitas are not in the sky above, nor on the earth below, nor in the eastern and other directions. They only exist in the flesh and blood of one's own heart. Thus, seeing them separately abiding in the heart, one must stabilize everything and abide. One must repeatedly remember, stabilizing what accords with the law and what goes against the law. Starting from the end, one must contemplate until the beginning. Starting from the beginning, one must contemplate until the end. Starting from the middle, one must contemplate until the beginning and the end. Starting from the beginning and the end, one must observe until the middle. Completely abandoning the body is called paramita. External enjoyment
