Do. If renunciation comes first, one will be liberated from rebirth. Furthermore, one should see that the Dharma that leads to Buddhahood is not just these. Seeking further, when the fourth Perfection of Wisdom is seen, such a thought arises. Wise, virtuous, and ascetic one, from now on you should also perfect the Perfection of Wisdom. Without discriminating between the inferior, the middling, and the great, go to their places and ask the wise ones. For example, a monk who goes for alms, going to places of the inferior and so on, without abandoning the distinctions of caste, going for alms in order, will quickly obtain his own measure of food. Likewise, you too should go to the presence of all the wise ones and ask them, and you will attain Buddhahood. One should be steadfast in the fourth Perfection of Wisdom and abide in it. Therefore, it is said: Not only this, but whatever Dharma that obtains enlightenment, one should also seek. Whatever obtains the Dharma, at that time one will see the seeking. The fourth Perfection of Wisdom, by the great beings of the past, was attained through veneration and reliance. For a while, one should firmly hold onto this fourth one. If one desires to attain enlightenment, one should practice the Perfection of Wisdom. Just as a monk who goes for alms, without discriminating between the castes of the inferior, the middling, and the great, obtains food. Likewise, you should always ask the wise. By going to the Perfection of Wisdom, one will attain enlightenment. Furthermore, one should see that the Dharma that leads to Buddhahood is not just these. Seeking further, when the fifth Perfection of Diligence is obtained, such a thought arises. Wise, virtuous, and ascetic one, from now on you should also perfect the Perfection of Diligence. Just as the lion, the king of beasts, always possesses steadfast diligence, likewise, you too should be steadfast in diligence in all lifetimes. If one exerts unwavering diligence, one will attain Buddhahood.

Ro! Fifth, abide having firmly established the perfection of diligence. Therefore it is said: Not only this alone, but also any Dharma that obtains enlightenment, others should also be sought. Whatever Dharma obtains, at that time seeking is seen. The fifth perfection of diligence, by the great beings of the past, because of approaching and relying on it. For a while, with these five, if you desire supreme enlightenment, then make diligence the perfection, hold it firmly. Just as the king of deer, in all places of dwelling and going, with unwavering diligence, the mind is always steadfast. Likewise, you should always, firmly hold diligence. Having become the perfection of diligence, you will attain enlightenment. Furthermore, one should look at the Dharma that makes one a Buddha, not just this alone. Especially when seeking, seeing the sixth perfection of patience, one's mind becomes like this: O wise one, virtuous and ascetic, from now on you should also perfect the perfection of patience. One should be patient with good and bad deeds. Just as on the earth, when clean and unclean things are smeared, the ground does not become angry, so too, one should be patient and tolerant, and especially abide, just like that. Likewise, in this way, even if you are harmed or benefited, if you are patient and tolerant, you will attain Buddhahood. The sixth perfection of patience, abide having firmly established it. Therefore it is said: Not only this alone, but also whoever desires to attain enlightenment, others should also be sought. Whatever Dharma obtains, at that time seeking is seen. The sixth perfection of patience, by the great beings of the past, because of approaching and relying on it. For a while, with this sixth, if one does not become angry with it, one will attain perfect enlightenment. Just as on the earth, when clean and unclean things are smeared, even if everything is poured out, it is endured, and there is no disgust. Likewise, when you do benefit and harm to all beings, having become the perfection of patience, you will attain perfect enlightenment.

Furthermore, it should be observed that this is not the only dharma that leads to Buddhahood. When seeking further, upon seeing the seventh, the Perfection of Truth, such a thought arose in the mind: O wise and virtuous ascetic, from now on, you should also perfect the Perfection of Truth. Even if one falls at the beginning, knowing the power of desire and so forth for the sake of wealth and so on, do not lie. For example, the stars such as the lunar mansion Tiṣya, at all times, do not abandon their respective paths of movement, and do not go from other paths, but go from their own paths. Likewise, you too, by holding to the truth and not lying, will attain Buddhahood. Firmly abide in the seventh, the Perfection of Truth. Therefore, it is said: Not only this alone, but whatever dharma one desires to attain enlightenment, one should also seek others. Whatever obtains the dharma, at that time, one sees the seeking. The seventh, the Perfection of Truth, is what the great beings of the past have approached and relied upon. For a while, with this seventh, abide firmly. By not lying about this, one will attain true enlightenment. Just as the star called Tiṣya, gods and humans alike, in the season of the year, do not go to other paths. You too should be truthful in that way, holding to the truth and not deviating. Because you have reached the Perfection of Truth, you will attain true enlightenment. Furthermore, it should be observed that this is not the only dharma that leads to Buddhahood. When seeking further, upon seeing the eighth, the Perfection of Superior Abiding, such a thought arose in the mind: O wise and virtuous ascetic, from now on, you should also perfect the Perfection of Superior Abiding. Abide in a superior way, and if you abide in a superior way, you will become unmoving. For example, a mountain, even when moved by winds from all directions, does not move or get blown away, but remains in its own place. Likewise, you too, if you remain superiorly abiding and unmoving, you will attain Buddhahood. The eighth, the Perfection of Superior Abiding.
