and those with characteristics who are followers of the Bodhisattva Vehicle, this measure is established in order to realize the truth as it is. Manjushri, any son or daughter of good family who, having heard this profound teaching of the Perfection of Wisdom, is not afraid, not terrified, and does not become apprehensive, has not paid homage to a single Buddha, nor has planted roots of virtue with a single Buddha. Having spoken thus, the youth Manjushri said this to the Blessed One: Blessed One, I am able to extensively teach the Perfection of Wisdom. The Blessed One said: Manjushri, declare it. Manjushri requested: Blessed One, by what dharma does one abide, not perceiving an abiding place, and also not perceiving a non-abiding place, that is the practice of the Perfection of Wisdom. Why is that? Because all dharmas are not perceived due to being non-abiding. Blessed One, in what dharma does one not closely abide due to not particularly clinging, that should be known as the practice of the Perfection of Wisdom. Why is that? Blessed One, in this way, all dharmas are due to being without an object of focus. Blessed One, practicing in that way is the practice of the Perfection of Wisdom. Blessed One, furthermore, in what, if the dharmas of the Buddhas do not manifest, what need is there to mention the dharmas of the solitary Buddhas? If the dharmas of the Hearers also do not manifest, what need is there to mention the dharmas of ordinary beings? That should be regarded as the practice of the Perfection of Wisdom. Blessed One, furthermore, relying on what practice, even the inconceivable dharmas of the Buddhas are the inconceivable dharmas of the Buddhas. Such non-discrimination is the practice of the Perfection of Wisdom. Blessed One, this practice of the Perfection of Wisdom should be regarded as the non-discrimination of all dharmas by the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. Blessed One, furthermore, relying on what practice, without seeing, one sees all dharmas as the dharmas of the Buddhas, and sees all dharmas as inconceivable dharmas, that

It is the practice of the Perfection of Wisdom. Those sons or daughters of good families who, having heard this teaching of the Perfection of Wisdom, are not afraid, not terrified, and do not become apprehensive, will have attended and honored many hundreds of thousands of Buddhas. Furthermore, Blessed One, whoever does not truly observe any of the all-encompassing defilements or completely purified dharmas, that is the practice of the Perfection of Wisdom. Blessed One, to practice in that way is to practice the Perfection of Wisdom. Blessed One, the practice of the Perfection of Wisdom does not differentiate between ordinary beings, hearers, solitary Buddhas, and perfectly complete Buddhas. Blessed One, that is the practice of the Perfection of Wisdom. Then, the Blessed One spoke to Manjushri, who had become a youth: Manjushri, how many Tathagatas have you attended and honored? Manjushri replied: Blessed One, as many as the minds and mental factors of an illusory person that have ceased, that is how many. Blessed One, I have attended and honored that many Tathagatas. The Blessed One said: Manjushri, have you not truly entered the Dharma of the Buddha? Manjushri replied: Blessed One, is there any Dharma that truly enters the Dharma of the Buddha that can be pointed out? The Blessed One said: Manjushri, then who possesses the Dharmas of the Buddha? Manjushri replied: Blessed One, even in you, there is not even the name of those things called the Dharmas of the Buddha. If it cannot be pointed out, what need is there to mention that it exists in others? The Blessed One said: Manjushri, have you found non-attachment? Manjushri replied: Blessed One, since I myself am non-attachment, how can I obtain non-attachment? The Blessed One said: Manjushri, do you abide at the Bodhi tree? Manjushri replied: If one truly holds to the extreme, then even the Blessed One does not abide at the Bodhi tree, how could I possibly abide there? The Blessed One said: Manjushri,
