All dharmas are without, because all dharmas are without object. As long as one focuses with the power of excellence, one becomes increasingly attached, increasingly fixated, increasingly grasping, increasingly suffering and displeased, and increasingly there will arise unbearable arrows of sorrow, agitation, and lamentation. As long as one focuses with the power of excellence, it is bondage. As long as one focuses, there is no path. As long as one focuses, there is suffering and displeasure. As long as one focuses, there is conceit, agitation, and proliferation. As long as one focuses, there is fighting, arguing, and competition. As long as one focuses, there is the darkness of ignorance and delusion. As long as one focuses, there is fear. As long as one focuses, there is terror. As long as one focuses, there is the snare of Mara and the destruction by Mara. As long as one focuses, one will be tormented by suffering and will seek happiness everywhere. Having seen these faults, the bodhisattva who subdues with excellent power does not focus on any dharma. Because he does not focus, he does not grasp any dharma. He does not abide in grasping or universally grasping all dharmas. He does not become conceited about the absence of focus or the perverted focus. The bodhisattva mahasattva who practices in this way, subduing with excellent power, is not attached to any dharma, nor does he rejoice in any dharma. He does not abide in attachment to any dharma. Subduing with excellent power, this is the bodhisattva's separation from focus on all dharmas when practicing in the perfection of wisdom. The bodhisattva who practices in this way, subduing with excellent power, will perfect the meditation on the perfection of wisdom, and therefore, the evil demon, the gods of the demon hordes, the demon retinue, and the blessings of the demon cannot create obstacles. One will not find an opportunity to harm him, nor will one find an opportunity to seize him and subdue him. He will always

will become. Will not be subject to the power of the deeds of demons. Will make all the abodes of demons empty. Will abide in order to defeat all other heretics. Will overwhelm all other heretical practitioners and wanderers. Will not be defeated by all external adversaries. The bodhisattva who practices in such a way as to completely suppress with great strength is: Does not abide in the distinction and non-distinction of form.
