Because it is inconceivable, the practice of the Bodhisattva's Prajñāpāramitā is inconceivable. The mindfulness establishments are inconceivable, the right abandonments, the non-perverted, the immeasurable, and the miraculous feet are inconceivable, so the practice of the Bodhisattva's Prajñāpāramitā is also inconceivable. The faculties, the powers, the limbs of enlightenment, the samādhi, and the attainments are inconceivable, so the practice of the Bodhisattva's Prajñāpāramitā is inconceivable. Suffering, origin, cessation, and path are inconceivable, so the Bodhisattva's Prajñāpāramitā is inconceivable. Knowledge and liberation are inconceivable, and the knowledge of exhaustion, the knowledge of non-arising, and the knowledge of non-manifestation are inconceivable, so the practice of the Bodhisattva's Prajñāpāramitā is inconceivable. The stages of the Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas are inconceivable, so the Bodhisattva's Prajñāpāramitā practice is inconceivable. The Dharma of the Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas is inconceivable, so the practice of the Bodhisattva's Prajñāpāramitā is inconceivable. Supernormal knowledge is inconceivable, the past, the future, and the present occurrences are inconceivable, so the practice of the Bodhisattva's Prajñāpāramitā is inconceivable. Fifth fascicle. Unobstructed wisdom is inconceivable, Nirvāṇa is inconceivable, and the Buddha's Dharma is inconceivable, so the practice of the Bodhisattva's Prajñāpāramitā is inconceivable. Why is that? Because subduing with great force, the practice of the Bodhisattva's Prajñāpāramitā is not the arising of mind, therefore it is called inconceivable. Subduing with great force, what is called the arising of mind is inverted. Subduing with great force, what is called mind is the thorough realization of mind.

When a Bodhisattva completely subdues with the power of wisdom, he sees that such attachments to appearances arise from the inverted minds of sentient beings. He does not generate mind towards any inversion. Why is that? Because the Prajñāpāramitā is separate from the mind. When one completely subdues with the power of wisdom, there is no generation of mind towards that which is naturally luminous and naturally completely pure. Because there is an object, ordinary people generate mind when one completely subdues with the power of wisdom. A Bodhisattva fully understands the object and where the mind arises from. He also fully understands the arising of the mind, so he thinks, "This mind is naturally luminous." Thinking thus, he thinks, "The mind arises dependent on the object." Because he fully knows the object, the mind neither arises nor ceases. His mind is luminous, not completely defiled by afflictions, pleasing, and completely pure. Because he abides in the non-arising of the mind, no dharma arises or ceases. Completely subduing with the power of wisdom, this is the complete understanding of the arising of a Bodhisattva who practices the Prajñāpāramitā. Any Bodhisattva who practices in this way is practicing the Prajñāpāramitā. Are those who practice in that way practicing the Prajñāpāramitā? Or is one practicing the Prajñāpāramitā here? Does he practice the Prajñāpāramitā with this? Or does one practice the Prajñāpāramitā from here? He does not think in this way. If one fully knows, "Is this the Prajñāpāramitā?" "Does he practice the Prajñāpāramitā with this?" "Is this his Prajñāpāramitā?" "Is it the Prajñāpāramitā from here?" Then that is not practicing the Prajñāpāramitā. The Prajñāpāramitā of thinking, "I am practicing the Prajñāpāramitā," is also not truly seen or fixated upon, and that is practicing the Prajñāpāramitā. After he spoke thus, the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva to the Bhagavan.
