If the Bodhisattva, the one who thoroughly subdues, engages with the object of name and form, then it is not engaging with the Perfection of Wisdom. Why is that? Because they see all objects as without objects. Whoever understands all objects as without objects does not engage with any object. Therefore, non-engagement is called the practice of a Bodhisattva. If the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, the ones who thoroughly subdue with excellent skill, engage with the object of sentient beings and self, then it is not engaging with the Perfection of Wisdom. Why is that? Because they know that the perception of sentient beings and the perception of self are not true. Whoever knows that the perception of sentient beings and the perception of self are not true does not engage in any action. Whoever does not engage in any action is without action. Therefore, non-action is called the practice of a Bodhisattva. If the Bodhisattva, the one who thoroughly subdues with excellent skill, engages with the perception of life, nurturer, person, individual, being born of karma, child, maker, complete maker, doer, causer to do, feeler, perceiver, knower, or the perception of the knower, then it is not engaging with the Perfection of Wisdom. Why is that? Because all of their perceptions have been completely destroyed. Whoever has completely destroyed all perceptions does not engage with any perception. Therefore, non-engagement is called the practice of a Bodhisattva. If the Bodhisattva, the one who thoroughly subdues with excellent skill, engages with perversions, views, and obscurations, then it is not engaging with the Perfection of Wisdom. If they engage with the object of perversions, views, and obscurations, then it is not engaging with the Perfection of Wisdom. Why is that? Because they have completely understood the object of perversions, views, and obscurations. Whoever has completely understood, that is without action. Therefore, non-action is the Bodhisattva

Bodhisattvas, if they engage with what is not inverted, with truly abandoning, with mindfulness closely established, and with immeasurable objects, then they are not engaging in the Perfection of Wisdom. Why is that? Because they know all objects to be false. If one completely knows all objects to be false, then there is no engagement for them. Therefore, non-engagement is called the conduct of a Bodhisattva. Bodhisattvas who are subdued by the supreme exertion of skill, if they engage with the objects of faculties, powers, limbs of enlightenment, samādhi, and attainments, then they are not engaging in the Perfection of Wisdom. Why is that? Because they have destroyed the objects of faculties, powers, limbs of enlightenment, samādhi, and attainments. If something is destroyed, then there is no engagement with it.
