, and expounding wisdom of promiscuity, is not abiding in definitively expounding. Mindfulness, right abandonment, miraculous feet, immeasurables, faculties, powers, branches of enlightenment, meditation, liberation, samadhi, attainment, and clairvoyance, are not abiding in definitively expounding. The exposition of truth, path, and fruit is not abiding in definitively expounding. The exposition of the teachings of Hearers, Solitary Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas is not abiding in definitively expounding. The exposition of the Dharma of Hearers, Solitary Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas is not abiding in definitively expounding. One is not abiding in definitively expounding what is known, what is not known, what is expounded, and what is not expounded. The exposition of knowing non-arising, knowing cessation, and knowing stopping, or not abiding in what is not expounded. The exposition of nirvana, or not abiding in what is not expounded. Sharadvatiputra, endowed with life, like this, for whatever Dharma is expounded, or not abiding in what is not expounded, how should that term be expounded? Sharadvatiputra, endowed with life, whoever understands the Prajnaparamita, that the exposition of whatever Dharma is expounded, or not abiding in what is not expounded, that person also knows the Prajnaparamita, and also knows the exposition of the Prajnaparamita. Sharadvatiputra, endowed with life, the Prajnaparamita is not abiding because it binds or does not bind to any Dharma. Why is that? Sharadvatiputra, endowed with life, the Prajnaparamita does not universally bind to form, nor does it universally not bind. Similarly, it does not universally bind to feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness, nor does it universally not bind. It does not universally bind to dependent origination, nor does it universally not bind. It does not universally bind to the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm, nor does it universally not bind. To the earth element and the water element

, and also do not make complete union with the fire element and the wind element. They also do not make non-complete union. They also do not make complete union with the realm of sentient beings, the realm of self, the sphere of phenomena, and the realm of space. They also do not make non-complete union. They also do not make complete union with discipline, immoral discipline, patience, malice, diligence, laziness, meditation, distraction, wisdom, and immoral wisdom. They also do not make non-complete union. They also do not make complete union with the mindfulnesses, the correct abandonments, the legs of magical power, the immeasurables, the faculties, the powers, the limbs of enlightenment, meditation, liberation, samadhi, and attainments. They also do not make non-complete union. They also do not make complete union with the path and the fruit of the path, suffering, arising, and cessation. They also do not make non-complete union. They also do not make complete union with the ground of hearers, the ground of solitary buddhas, and the ground of bodhisattvas. They also do not make non-complete union. They also do not make complete union with the dharma of hearers, the dharma of solitary buddhas, and the dharma of bodhisattvas. They also do not make non-complete union. They also do not make complete union with the knowledge of the past, the future, and the present, and the equality of the three times. They also do not make non-complete union. They also do not make complete union with unobstructedness, knowing non-arising, knowing exhaustion, and nirvana. They also do not make non-complete union. The venerable Sharadvatiputra, like this, how can it be shown that one does not abide in complete union or non-complete union with any dharma? The venerable Sharadvatiputra, I do not truly see what dharma I would be proud of, and by what I would be proud, and in what I would be proud, and what dharma I would be proud to undertake. Because I saw that power, I spoke those words. This is the fifth chapter, called "Subhuti."
