is limitless. Similarly, the realm and scope of activity of the Perfection of Wisdom are also limitless. Shariputra, for example, the realm of space and the realm of wind are not visible anywhere, nor do they closely abide as the characteristic of any dharma manifestly accomplished. Shariputra, similarly, the Perfection of Wisdom is not visible in any dharma, nor does it closely abide as the characteristic of any dharma manifestly accomplished. Shariputra, for example, the realm of space and the realm of wind are ungraspable and not fully accomplished, therefore they are not counted among the characteristics of color. Son of Sharadvati, similarly, the Perfection of Wisdom is also ungraspable and not fully accomplished, therefore it does not closely approach being counted among any color or characteristic. Shariputra, for example, the realm of space and the realm of wind do not closely approach being seen as fully accomplishing any dharma. Similarly, the Perfection of Wisdom does not closely approach being seen as fully accomplishing any dharma. Asked: Blessed One, what is the characteristic of this Perfection of Wisdom? He replied: Son of Sharadvati, this Perfection of Wisdom is without characteristic. Shariputra, for example, the realm of space and the realm of wind do not closely approach being the characteristic of the full accomplishment of any dharma. Shariputra, similarly, the Perfection of Wisdom does not closely approach being the characteristic of the full accomplishment of any dharma, Shariputra, because it is not like this, therefore the Perfection of Wisdom is without characteristic. Shariputra, for example, the realm of space does not cling to anything anywhere. Similarly, the Perfection of Wisdom does not cling to anything anywhere, therefore it is called the characteristic of non-clinging. Shariputra, although there is no characteristic whatsoever in non-clinging, nevertheless, because the Perfection of Wisdom is called the characteristic of non-clinging, that is merely a term of expression. Shariputra, non-clinging has no characteristic and no sign, that itself is shown to be without characteristic. Shariputra, that which is called non-clinging is the complete cl

is known. That is non-attachment. That is knowing attachment as it is. That is completely knowing the perversion of attachment. Shariputra, there is no attachment to attachment, therefore, the reality of attachment and the unobtainability of attachment are called non-attachment. Shariputra, by the teaching of wisdom, this Prajnaparamita is the nature of non-attachment. Shariputra, all dharmas are the nature of non-attachment, whatever the nature of any dharma is, that is no-nature, and no dharma abides for the sake of the manifestation of nature. That which has no nature is called no-nature. That which has no nature has no attachment. If the essence of dharma had a nature, then all dharmas would also have attachment. Because all dharmas have no nature, therefore there is no attachment to them. Therefore, all dharmas are called the nature of non-attachment, but it is not as it is said. The nature of non-attachment cannot be expressed. Why is that? Because of non-existence, it is the nature of non-attachment. Because of solitude, it is the nature of non-attachment. Because of unobtainability, it is the nature of non-attachment. Shariputra, any dharma that is the dharma of the nature of non-attachment neither abides in a visible way nor abides in an invisible way, yet it has taught the nature of non-attachment to sentient beings. Shariputra, the nature of affliction is no-nature, affliction does not abide by nature, Shariputra, affliction abides by perversion. Any perversion is no-nature. Whatever is no-nature is also no-nature in name, that is no-nature itself. Shariputra, purification is also no-nature. Why is that? Shariputra, if affliction itself is no-nature, what need is there to mention purification? Shariputra, completely understanding affliction is reality, there is no affliction in it, but sentient

Because of perversion, everything is afflicted. Whatever is perverted is not true. Whatever is not true has no true accomplishment or nature. Sharadvatiputra, whoever knows this is called purified. If affliction itself has no nature, what need is there to mention purification? Shariputra, like this, these two dharmas, affliction or purification, have no nature and are not accomplished. Shariputra, all dharmas have no nature and are not accomplished; that is called non-attachment. All dharmas are called the nature of non-attachment, which means all dharmas are non-attached. Shariputra, all ordinary people are attached to non-attachment. Shariputra, this is the nature of non-attachment of all dharmas, which is taught as the realm of wisdom. Shariputra, this is the realm of prajnaparamita. The nature of non-attachment, the realm of wisdom, is prajnaparamita; therefore, the realm of prajnaparamita is called boundless. Whatever is non-attached, its realm and activity are boundless. Shariputra, what is called activity is merely a conventional term for no activity. Shariputra, prajnaparamita is not distinguished by the nature of showing activity. Shariputra, what is called realm is that all dharmas have no realm. That is the true suchness, just as it is. Because there is nothing, all dharmas have no realm. Knowing all dharmas in this way is called realm and activity, but it is not as it is said. Whoever knows all dharmas in this way is not attached to anything, which is called the nature of non-attachment. Therefore, prajnaparamita is called the nature of non-attachment. Shariputra, it is difficult to find companions for such a dharma. Explaining such a dharma, correctly showing it, and distinguishing it is showing the realm of the Tathagata's wisdom. Shariputra's dharma is for the shravakas and bodhisattvas who see the truth.
