The Tathagata, relying on this Perfection of Wisdom, truly knows that the unsurpassed minds of immeasurable beings are unsurpassed minds. Subhuti, how does the Tathagata, relying on this Perfection of Wisdom, truly know that the unsurpassed minds of immeasurable beings are unsurpassed minds? Subhuti, those minds are unelaborated because not even a particle of mind is perceived. Subhuti, thus the Tathagata, relying on this Perfection of Wisdom, truly knows that the unsurpassed minds of immeasurable beings are unsurpassed minds. Furthermore, Subhuti, the Tathagata, relying on this Perfection of Wisdom, truly knows that the minds of immeasurable beings that are not equally abiding are minds that are not equally abiding. Subhuti, how does the Tathagata, relying on this Perfection of Wisdom, truly know that the minds of immeasurable beings that are not equally abiding are minds that are not equally abiding? Subhuti, those minds enter into non-equality through inequality and equality, and thus the mind is not equally abiding. Subhuti, thus the Tathagata, relying on this Perfection of Wisdom, truly knows that the minds of immeasurable beings that are not equally abiding are minds that are not equally abiding. Furthermore, Subhuti, the Tathagata, relying on this Perfection of Wisdom, truly knows that the minds of immeasurable beings that are equally abiding are minds that are equally abiding. Subhuti, how does the Tathagata, relying on this Perfection of Wisdom, know that the minds of immeasurable beings that are equally abiding are minds that are equally abiding? Subhuti, those minds enter into equality through equality and equality, and thus those minds that are equally abiding are like the sky. Subhuti,

Thus, the Tathagata, relying on this Perfection of Wisdom, truly knows that the minds of immeasurable beings who have attained quiescence are quiescent. Furthermore, Subhuti, the Tathagata, relying on this Perfection of Wisdom, truly knows that the minds of immeasurable beings who have not attained liberation are not liberated. Subhuti, if asked how the Tathagata, relying on this Perfection of Wisdom, truly knows that the minds of immeasurable beings who have not attained liberation are not liberated, Subhuti, those minds are by nature liberated, being of the nature of no self-nature. Subhuti, thus, the Tathagata, relying on this Perfection of Wisdom, truly knows that the minds of immeasurable beings who have not attained liberation are not liberated. Furthermore, Subhuti, the Tathagata, relying on this Perfection of Wisdom, truly knows that the minds of immeasurable beings who have attained liberation are liberated.

If asked: How does the Thus-Gone One truly know the immeasurable beings' invisible minds as invisible minds? Subhuti, because the mind is non-existent, it is invisible; because it has not arisen, it is not to be distinguished; because it is not fully established, even the eye of wisdom and the divine eye cannot grasp it, let alone the physical eye, because it does not appear to all. Subhuti, in this way, the Thus-Gone One, relying on this Perfection of Wisdom, truly knows the immeasurable beings' invisible minds as invisible minds. Subhuti, therefore, the Perfection of Wisdom is what the Thus-Gone One, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened One, reveals to this world. Furthermore, Subhuti, relying on this Perfection of Wisdom, the Thus-Gone One truly knows the immeasurable and countless other beings and persons' manifestations and concealments as manifestations and concealments. If asked: Subhuti, how does the Thus-Gone One, relying on this Perfection of Wisdom, truly know the immeasurable and countless other beings and persons' manifestations and concealments as manifestations and concealments? Subhuti, all those beings' births abide and arise in form, as the Thus-Gone One truly knows. Subhuti, similarly, all those beings' births abide and arise in feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness, as the Thus-Gone One truly knows. Subhuti, how does the Thus-Gone One know that those manifestations and concealments abide in form? Similarly, how does he know that those manifestations and concealments abide in feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness? The statement, "The Thus-Gone One will arise after death," is based on form. The statement, "The Thus-Gone One will not arise after death," is based on form. The statement, "The Thus-Gone One will both arise and not arise after death," is based on form.
