This is for pure dedication, not for wrong dedication. Thus, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas should dedicate. Furthermore, Noble Subhuti, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, regarding the Buddhas, the Bhagavat Tathagatas who have come in the past, from the time of their first arising of mind until they manifestly and completely awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and until they completely pass into the realm of nirvana without remainder, and until the sacred Dharma does not disappear, during that time, whatever roots of virtue are possessed by those Buddhas, the Bhagavat Tathagatas, that are endowed with the perfections; and whatever aggregates of morality, aggregates of concentration, aggregates of wisdom, aggregates of liberation, and aggregates of the wisdom of seeing liberation are possessed by those Buddhas, the Bhagavat Tathagatas; and whatever benefit they intend, and whatever great love, and whatever great compassion, and whatever immeasurable and countless qualities of the Buddhas; and whatever Dharma those Buddhas, the Bhagavat Tathagatas, will teach, and whoever will learn that Dharma; and whoever will especially admire it, and whatever roots of virtue are possessed by those who will abide; and whatever Bodhisattvas those Buddhas, the Bhagavat Tathagatas, will prophesy to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, whatever roots of virtue are possessed by them that are endowed with the six perfections; and whatever individuals of the Pratyekabuddha Vehicle those Buddhas, the Bhagavat Tathagatas, will prophesy to the enlightenment of a Pratyekabuddha, whatever roots of virtue are possessed by them; and whatever meritorious objects arising from giving, meritorious objects arising from morality, and meritorious objects arising from meditation of those individuals of the Hearer Vehicle; and whatever uncontaminated roots of virtue of those in training; and those not in training

Whatever virtuous roots are without outflows, and whatever sentient beings will create virtuous roots because of this Dharma, and also whatever gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, humans and non-humans, who will hear this Dharma and, having heard it, will also create virtuous roots, and also whatever sentient beings who have gone to the realm of animals, who will also hear this Dharma and, having heard it, will also create virtuous roots, and whatever sentient beings who, when the Tathagata Bhagavan enters parinirvana, and after entering parinirvana, create virtuous roots, all of these virtuous roots, gathering all these virtuous roots together, summing them up, measuring them, doing so without remainder, then, for all that should be rejoiced in, rejoicing, with the merit of rejoicing, the object of meritorious action, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who dedicates it to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, how does he not become inverted in perception, not become inverted in mind, not become inverted in view? If that Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not perceive as mind the mind with which he dedicates everything, then the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, with the object of meritorious action possessed of rejoicing, has dedicated it to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. If one does not correctly know that "this mind is like this" for that mind, then the Bodhisattva Mahasattva will not become inverted in perception, will not become inverted in mind, will not become inverted in view. If one correctly knows that "this mind is like this" for the mind with which one dedicates everything, but does not perceive it as mind, then the perception of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva will become inverted, the mind will become inverted, and the view will become inverted. Thus contemplating, when contemplating that mind, thus it is exhausted by exhaustion, thus truly knowing, and it is cessation, detachment, and transformation. Having known thus, whatever is exhausted cannot be dedicated. With what mind is it dedicated? The nature of that mind is also like that. With what dharmas is it dedicated? The nature of those dharmas is also like that. To what dharmas is it dedicated? The nature of those dharmas is also like that. If it is dedicated thus, it is a true dedication, not a reversed dedication. Thus, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should dedicate. Furthermore, Noble Subhuti, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, in the immeasurable and countless realms of the three thousand great thousand worlds, all the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who are now appearing, all paths, all entrances, all proliferations, all guides to existence, immeasurable and countless, abiding and living, from the time they first generated their minds until they manifestly and completely awaken to unsurpassed and perfect enlightenment, and until they enter into Nirvana in the realm of Nirvana without remainder, and until the sacred Dharma has not perished, in between those times, whatever virtuous roots are associated with the Paramitas of those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and whatever aggregates of morality, aggregates of Samadhi, aggregates of wisdom, aggregates of liberation, and aggregates of the knowledge and vision of liberation are those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and whatever desire for benefit there is, and whatever great love there is, and whatever great compassion there is, and whatever immeasurable and countless qualities of the Buddhas there are, and whatever Dharma is taught by those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and whoever studies that Dharma, and whatever virtuous roots of those who have pure faith and rejoice in them, and whatever skillful means associated with the six Paramitas of those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who are predicted by those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, to attain unsurpassed and perfect enlightenment.
