The World Honored One said: Kauśika, even more than that, this son or daughter of good family will accumulate much merit, Whoever has faith in this Perfection of Wisdom, contemplates and rejoices, and with a joyful mind generates the mind of enlightenment. With superior intention, listening, holding, reciting, reading, understanding, reciting well, teaching, closely teaching, instructing, chanting, and also extensively to others Truly showing, explaining the meaning of this, contemplating with the mind, and contemplating here with whatever kind of wisdom. In order not to let the lineage of the Buddha be cut off, in order not to let the sacred Dharma be obscured, in order to let the sacred Dharma abide for a long time, Without deviating from the principle, benefiting the Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas, if accomplished, when young, put it in a book and hold it and protect it, To that Perfection of Wisdom, with flowers, incense, fragrance, garlands, unguents, powders, clothes, umbrellas, banners, bells, and banners, and surrounding garlands of lamps, and many kinds of offerings, If one reveres and respects, regards as a guru, states, offers, paints, and performs offerings and reverence, Kauśika, this son or daughter of good family will accumulate much merit from that basis. Kauśika, let alone all the sentient beings of the two thousand intermediate worlds. Whoever has great faith in this Prajnaparamita, thinks about it, believes in it, and with a happy mind generates the mind of enlightenment, and with a special intention listens, holds, recites, reads, fully understands, recites well, shows, closely shows, transmits, chants, and also widely and correctly shows it to others, explains its meaning, remembers it with the mind, and contemplates it with the wisdom of how it is established.
