Those who master the perfection of wisdom, whether they go to a monastery, or go to the foot of a tree, or go to an empty house, or go to an unshielded place, or go on a road, or go astray, or go to a wilderness monastery, or go to the great ocean. Whether they go, walk, sit, or lie down there, fear or stiffness will not arise or be born. Then the four great kings said this to the Blessed One: Blessed One, it is wonderful that any son or daughter of good family who holds, recites, reads, comprehends, and thoroughly utters this perfection of wisdom will subdue sentient beings with the three vehicles and will not even generate the perception of sentient beings! Blessed One, we will guard, protect, and conceal any son or daughter of good family who holds, recites, reads, comprehends, and thoroughly utters this perfection of wisdom. Then the lord of the gods, Indra, said this to the Blessed One: Blessed One, I too will guard, protect, and conceal those sons or daughters of good family who hold, recite, read, comprehend, and thoroughly utter this perfection of wisdom. The lord of the Brahma of the Sahā world, together with the sons of the Brahma-class gods, also said this to the Blessed One: Blessed One, we too will guard, protect, and conceal any son or daughter of good family who holds, recites, reads, comprehends, and thoroughly utters this perfection of wisdom. Then the lord of the gods, Indra, said this to the Blessed One: Blessed One, it is wonderful that any son or daughter of good family who holds, recites, reads, comprehends, and thoroughly utters this perfection of wisdom will surely obtain and fully possess these qualities in this life! Furthermore, if one holds this Prajñāpāramitā, will one then hold all six pāramitās? After this question was asked, the Blessed One spoke thus to Indra, the lord of the gods: Kauśika, it is so, it is so. Kauśika, by holding the Prajñāpāramitā, one will hold all six pāramitās. Kauśika, furthermore, if a son or daughter of good family holds, grasps, recites, comprehends, and thoroughly utters this Prajñāpāramitā, then, Kauśika, listen well and carefully to all the qualities that son or daughter of good family will acquire in this life, and keep them in mind, and I will tell you. Indra, the lord of the gods, said to the Blessed One, "Excellent!" and then Indra, the lord of the gods, listened to the Blessed One. The Blessed One spoke thus: Kauśika, those who wish to dispute, argue, or oppose this Dharma, the disputes, arguments, and oppositions that arise from those who wish to dispute, argue, or oppose, will eventually subside and not remain. The intentions of those who wish to dispute, argue, or oppose will not be fulfilled. Why is that? Kauśika, it is because, whether it is a son or daughter of good family who holds, grasps, recites, comprehends this Prajñāpāramitā, and thoroughly utters, teaches, closely teaches, transmits, and recites it, the basis of their disputes, however much it arises, will eventually subside and not remain. The intentions of those who wish to dispute, argue, or oppose will not be fulfilled. Kauśika, whether it is a son or daughter of good family who holds, grasps, recites, comprehends this Prajñāpāramitā, and thoroughly utters, teaches, closely teaches, transmits, and recites it, they will also fully acquire these qualities in this life.
