If someone attacks with the intention of finding fault, (he) will not be discouraged in front of the retinue. Why is that? Because the Perfection of Wisdom protects, saves, and hides him; one who abides in the Perfection of Wisdom does not truly see the fault-finder. One who abides in the Perfection of Wisdom does not truly see the act of finding fault. The object of the fault-finding is also not truly seen. The Perfection of Wisdom is also not truly seen. Therefore, a son or daughter of good family who is fully embraced by the Perfection of Wisdom will not experience any kind of attack. He will not be afraid, nor will he always be filled with fear. Kauśika, any son or daughter of good family who holds, recites, reads, understands, masters, speaks, explains in detail, teaches, and chants this Perfection of Wisdom will also fully grasp this life. Kauśika, furthermore, sons or daughters of good family will be pleasing to their parents, spouses, ministers, relatives, friends, ascetics, and Brahmins. He will have the strength and ability to subdue opponents in accordance with the Dharma. When others refute, he will be able to cite scriptures to refute.
