After he had spoken, Indra, lord of the gods, said this to the Blessed One: Blessed One, again, how should a son or daughter of good family proceed there for the sake of listening to, viewing, paying homage to, revering, holding, reciting, reading, fully understanding, diligently reciting, teaching, well teaching, instructing, and memorizing this Perfection of Wisdom, with respect to such gods, or nagas, or yakshas, or gandharvas, or asuras, or garudas, or kinnaras, or mahoragas, or humans, or non-humans? After he had spoken, the Blessed One said this to Indra, lord of the gods: Kausika, if a son or daughter of good family sees great lights there, then that son or daughter of good family should know that certainly gods, or nagas, or yakshas, or gandharvas, or asuras, or garudas, or kinnaras, or mahoragas, or humans, or non-humans have come and arrived. Those who are always cautious in their conduct, always cautious in their conduct, and always pure in their conduct, will generate joy, great delight, satisfaction, and inner peace. Then, those gods of small splendor, those who dwell in small splendor, will also think of departing from there. Why is that? Because the glory, splendor, and dignity of the gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, humans, and non-humans, those of great splendor, great splendor, are unbearable. Therefore, those gods of small splendor, small splendor, think of departing. Kauśika, however much the gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, humans, and non-humans, those of great splendor, great splendor, always think of coming, so much so that the son or daughter of good family will become even more excellent. Kauśika, that son or daughter of good family will also fully attain these qualities in this life. Kauśika, that son or daughter of good family, in order to regard this as a teacher, to respect and fully accomplish it, should not engage in impure and incautious conduct in the vicinity of that place of the Dharma. Kauśika, furthermore, that son or daughter of good family will not become physically or mentally weary. He will sleep comfortably and walk comfortably. Even when asleep, he will not see sinful dreams. Even if he sees them, he will see the Tathāgatas, Arhats, perfectly enlightened Buddhas, and he will see the stupas. He will see the Bodhisattvas. He will see the Śrāvakas of the Tathāgata. If he hears a sound, he will hear the sound of the pāramitās. He will hear the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment. He will see the Bodhi trees. In those places, he will also see the Tathāgatas, Arhats, perfectly enlightened Buddhas, attaining perfect enlightenment. Similarly, he will see those who have attained perfect enlightenment turning the wheel of Dharma.
