. The Blessed One was born with an extremely upright body. The Blessed One's body is like a banyan tree, with circumference and height equal. Among them, the equality of the Blessed One's body circumference and height like a banyan tree is such that the height of the body is equal to the circumference, and the circumference is also equal to the height, which is called the equality of circumference and height like a banyan tree. The Blessed One's cheeks are like a lion's. The Blessed One has forty teeth. The Blessed One's teeth are well aligned. The Blessed One's teeth have high and sharp tips, and are white. The Blessed One possesses the best taste, and his neck is upright, allowing him to swallow food smoothly and without obstruction. The Blessed One's tongue is long and thin. Among them, the length and thinness of the tongue are such that if the Tathagata wishes, he can extend his tongue from his mouth, touching the two nostrils, two eye sockets, and two ear holes, and completely covering the entire face, even reaching the hairline, covering the entire center of the face. The Blessed One possesses the voice of Brahma. The Blessed One has wide eyes, like the eyelashes of a cow. The Blessed One has eyes like the petals of a blue lotus. The Blessed One's eye structure is perfect. The Blessed One's radiance is one fathom (from palm to elbow is one fathom). The Blessed One's face is like the full moon. The Blessed One's white hair (urna) is born between the eyebrows, as soft as cotton, and its color is like the kunda flower, the moon, the conch shell, the stem of a lotus, milk, and the color of a white conch. The Blessed One possesses a crown protuberance (ushnisha). These are the thirty-two major marks of a great being. Because the Tathagata possesses these major marks, the nature of the three thousand great thousand worlds is filled with light. If the Tathagata wishes, these marks can fill immeasurable and countless world realms with light, and then the Tathagata approaches the light with the power to tame sentient beings.

Where should the blessing be bestowed? If the Tathagata had not bestowed the blessing, then the moon and the sun would not exist in the world. A month, half a month, seasons, and cycles of years would not appear in the world. By taking hold of the power to tame sentient beings, the Tathagata's own nature of speech made this three-thousand-great-thousand world realm understand. If desired, it was also made to understand with a great voice before. All these merits and benefits were accomplished by me, who had previously become a Bodhisattva and practiced the Prajnaparamita. Subhuti, thus, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, he gathers sentient beings with two kinds of giving, namely, material giving and Dharma giving. Subhuti, this is also a wonderful and amazing Dharma of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the six Paramitas, how does he gather sentient beings with sweet speech? Subhuti, here, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the six Paramitas, he first gathers sentient beings with the Paramita of giving. Then with the Paramita of morality. Then with the Paramita of patience. Then with the Paramita of diligence. Then with the Paramita of meditation. Then he gathers sentient beings with the Paramita of wisdom. Subhuti, with these six Paramitas, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva gathers sentient beings with sweet speech. Why is that? Because these six Paramitas gather all virtuous Dharmas. Subhuti, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva gather sentient beings by practicing benefit? Subhuti, here, when practicing the six Paramitas for a long time, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva always gathers sentient beings by doing nothing other than benefiting others.
