Is it also non-conceptual between the gathering of mind and the feeling due to the cause of contact? Fortunate Subhuti, are all the meditations also non-conceptual? Similarly, are all the immeasurables and the formless attainments also non-conceptual? Are all the mindfulnesses also non-conceptual? Is it also non-conceptual up to the eightfold noble path? Are the three doors of liberation, whatever they are, also non-conceptual? Similarly, are the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, great love, great compassion, and even the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha also non-conceptual? Fortunate Subhuti, is enlightenment also non-conceptual? Fortunate Subhuti, is the unconditioned realm also non-conceptual? He said: Fortunate Sharadvatiputra, in short, all dharmas are non-conceptual. He said: Fortunate Subhuti, if all dharmas are non-conceptual, then how does this wheel of the five realms of samsara, such as the hell beings, the animal realm, the world of the pretas, the world of the gods, and the human world, come to be different? How does this distinction arise between those who have entered the stream, those who return once, those who do not return, the Arhats, the Pratyekabuddhas, and the Tathagatas, the Arhats, the perfectly complete Buddhas? After saying this, the Fortunate Subhuti said this to the Fortunate Sharadvatiputra: Fortunate Sharadvatiputra, those sentient beings who are driven by perversion and perform actions with body, speech, or mind, they, by holding onto the ripening of karma rooted in desire, thus, the hell beings, the animal realm, the world of Yama, and the birth of gods and humans manifest.

From the distinctions among the grounds, what causes these distinctions up to the Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddha? (Someone) said: The son of the venerable Śāradvatīputra, the stream-enterer, is non-conceptual, and the fruit of stream-entry is also non-conceptual. Similarly, the once-returner and the fruit of once-returner, the non-returner and the fruit of non-returner, the Arhat and the Arhat himself, the Pratyekabuddha and the Pratyekabodhi, and the Samyaksaṃbuddhas are also non-conceptual. The Samyaksaṃbodhi is also non-conceptual. The son of the venerable Śāradvatīputra, those Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddhas who appeared in the past, they also have no conceptualization, and are those who have abandoned all conceptualization and various conceptualizations. Those Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddhas who will appear in the future, they also will have no conceptualization, and are those who have abandoned all conceptualization and various conceptualizations. Those Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddhas who are now dwelling and existing in the ten directions in realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, and who are teaching the Dharma, they are also dwelling without conceptualization, and have abandoned all conceptualization. Son of the venerable Śāradvatīputra, therefore, in this way, having taken non-conceptual Suchness as the standard, and similarly having taken non-conceptual true limit and non-conceptual Dharmadhātu as the standard, all dharmas should be understood as being without conceptualization. Son of the venerable Śāradvatīputra, the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva should practice the Prajñāpāramitā in this way, without conceptualization. When he practices the Prajñāpāramitā without conceptualization, he will realize all non-conceptual dharmas and become a Buddha. Then, the son of the venerable Śāradvatīputra said this to the venerable Subhūti:

Thus he spoke. The venerable Subhuti, then, does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom practice a law that has essence, or does he practice a law that has no essence? Having spoken thus, the venerable Subhuti said this to the venerable Saradvatiputra: Venerable Saradvatiputra, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom practices a law that has no essence. Why is that? Venerable Saradvatiputra, like this Perfection of Wisdom, it has no essence. Similarly, the Perfection of Dhyana, the Perfection of Virya, the Perfection of Kshanti, the Perfection of Shila, and the Perfection of Dana also have no essence. Similarly, up to the All-Knowingness, it is without essence. Why is that? Venerable Saradvatiputra, for example, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, if even the absence of essence itself is not perceived and not truly seen, how could one contemplate or see the presence of essence? Even the Perfection of Wisdom, which is without essence, is not perceived and not truly seen, from the Perfection of Wisdom, which is without essence, up to the All-Knowingness, which is without essence, is not perceived and not truly seen, how could one contemplate the Perfection of Wisdom up to the All-Knowingness, or see the Perfection of Wisdom up to the All-Knowingness? Then, many sons of the gods who dwell in the desire realm thought thus: Those sons or daughters of good families who have generated the mind for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and who also practice this profound Perfection of Wisdom as taught, but who, while practicing that meaning, have not realized the true limit, those who will not abide in the ground of the Hearers or the ground of the Solitary Buddhas, are worthy of reverence. In this way, those sons or daughters of good families who understand the equality of all dharmas...
