Who could abide in suchness? Who could realize unexcelled, perfect enlightenment? Who could abide in suchness and teach the Dharma to sentient beings? Venerable One, since suchness itself is also invisible, who could abide in suchness, realize unexcelled, perfect enlightenment, and, abiding solely in suchness, what need is there to mention teaching the Dharma, since there is nowhere to abide? After thus requesting, the Blessed One said to the venerable Subhuti: Subhuti, if, as you say, apart from suchness, no dharma is visible, then who could abide in suchness? Who could abide in suchness and realize unexcelled, perfect enlightenment? Who could abide in suchness and teach the Dharma to sentient beings? Since suchness itself is also invisible, who could abide in suchness, realize unexcelled, perfect enlightenment, and, abiding in suchness, what need is there to mention teaching the Dharma to sentient beings, since there is nowhere to abide? That is what you say, Subhuti, and that is indeed so. Just as you have said, Subhuti, apart from suchness, who could abide in suchness? Who could abide in suchness and realize unexcelled, perfect enlightenment? There is no dharma that could abide in suchness and teach the Dharma to sentient beings. Why is that? Subhuti, because for suchness, there is no arising, no ceasing, and no alteration is visible. Subhuti, for a dharma that has no arising, no ceasing, and no alteration is visible, who could abide in it? Who could abide in that dharma and realize unexcelled, perfect enlightenment? Who could abide in that dharma and teach the Dharma to sentient beings? Because there is nowhere to abide. Then, the lord of the gods, Indra,

Hundred Kotis spoke thus: "Venerable Bhagavan, this Prajñāpāramitā is profound. Those Bodhisattvas Mahāsattvas who practice this profound Prajñāpāramitā are engaging in difficult practices. Why is that? Venerable Bhagavan, in this way, there is nothing to be fixated upon in the Dharma called Suchness. There is also nothing that abides in Suchness. There is also no Dharma by which one will manifestly awaken to unsurpassable, perfectly complete enlightenment. There is also no Dharma by which one will teach the Dharma to sentient beings. Venerable Bhagavan, when Bodhisattvas Mahāsattvas practice Prajñāpāramitā, even if they thus closely contemplate and meditate, they will not be intimidated by this Dharma. It is because they will not shrink back from or be confused by these Dharmas." Then, the venerable Subhūti said this to the lord of the gods, Indra: "Kauśika, you say this: 'Bodhisattvas Mahāsattvas who practice this profound Prajñāpāramitā, even if they closely contemplate these Dharmas, will not shrink back from or be confused by these Dharmas, are engaging in difficult practices.' Kauśika, who would shrink back from or be confused by all Dharmas being emptiness?" Having spoken thus, the lord of the gods, Indra, said this to the venerable Subhūti: "Venerable Subhūti, whatever Dharma is taught, all of that is taught based solely on emptiness, and there is no obstruction to any Dharma. For example, when an arrow is shot into space, there is no obstruction anywhere. Likewise, Venerable Subhūti, there is no obstruction to any Dharma." From the Hundred Thousand Verse Prajñāpāramitā, the chapter called Rejoicing, the twenty-sixth chapter is complete. Twenty-sixth, The Chapter on Rejoicing.
