It is. Thus, the venerable Subhuti is said to be born after the Tathagata. The suchness of the past is the suchness of the Tathagata, and the suchness of the Tathagata is the suchness of the past. The suchness of the future is the suchness of the Tathagata, and the suchness of the Tathagata is the suchness of the future. The suchness of the present is the suchness of the Tathagata, and the suchness of the Tathagata is the suchness of the present. Thus, the suchness of the past, future, and present, and the suchness of the Tathagata, this suchness is non-dual and indivisible. Similarly, the suchness of form and the suchness of the Tathagata, the suchness of feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness, and the suchness of the Tathagata, this suchness is non-dual and indivisible. Similarly, from the suchness of self, to the suchness between the knower and the seer, and the suchness of the Tathagata, this suchness is non-dual and indivisible. Similarly, the suchness of the perfection of generosity and the suchness of the Tathagata, to the suchness of the perfection of wisdom and the suchness of the Tathagata, this suchness is non-dual and indivisible. Similarly, the suchness of inner emptiness and the suchness of the Tathagata, to the suchness of the emptiness of the nature of non-things and the suchness of the Tathagata, this suchness is non-dual and indivisible. Similarly, the suchness of mindfulness and the suchness of the Tathagata, to the suchness of the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha and the suchness of the Tathagata, this suchness is non-dual and indivisible. Similarly, the suchness of the fruit of stream-entry

nature, the Tathata of the Tathagata, thus combined, up to the Tathata between all-knowingness, the Tathata of the Tathagata, this Tathata is non-dual and non-different. When the gods, Bodhisattvas, and great beings realize complete enlightenment, they obtain the name of Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha, the Tathata of all dharmas is this. When this chapter on Tathata is explained, this great earth of the three thousand great thousand worlds shakes in six ways, exceedingly shakes, and completely exceedingly shakes. It sways, exceedingly sways, and completely exceedingly sways. It trembles, exceedingly trembles, and completely exceedingly trembles. When the east is high, the west is low. When the west is high, the east is low. When the north is high, the south is low. When the south is high, the north is low. When the edge is high, the center is low. When the center is high, the edge is low. Then, the gods of the desire realm and the form realm, at that time, scattered heavenly sandalwood powder, heavenly incense, powder of the leaves of the Tamaala tree, heavenly Utpala flowers, lotuses, Kumuda flowers, and white lotuses upon the Bhagavan Shakyamuni and the Venerable Subhuti, scattered them everywhere, and completely scattered them everywhere, and said these words: "Venerable Subhuti is the Tathagata's Tathata, is born after the Tathagata, it is truly wonderful!" Then, the Venerable Subhuti, starting from the context of that speech, said to those gods: "Gods, thus it is, the Venerable Subhuti does not follow after form, does not follow after the Tathata of form, feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness, does not follow after the Tathata of consciousness, does not follow after anything other than consciousness, does not follow after anything other than the Tathata of consciousness. Thus combined, up to all-knowingness, does not follow, all

The thusness of wisdom itself does not arise after. Other than all-aspects-knowing itself, it does not arise after. Other than the thusness of all-aspects-knowing itself, it does not arise after. It does not arise after the unconditioned. It does not arise after the thusness of the unconditioned. Other than the unconditioned, it does not arise after. Other than the thusness of the unconditioned, it does not arise after. Why is that? Gods, like this, all those dharmas that will arise after, and from what they will arise, and where they will arise, are all non-existent and invisible. Then, the venerable Sharadvatiputra said this to the Bhagavan: Venerable Bhagavan, the thusness of all dharmas, and the non-erroneous thusness, and the abiding nature of dharmas, and the faultless nature of dharmas, this is profound, and in it, form and all-aspects-knowing itself and thusness are invisible. The Bhagavan said: Sharadvatiputra, it is so. Just as you said, the thusness of all dharmas, and the non-erroneous thusness, and the abiding nature of dharmas, and the faultless nature of dharmas, this is profound, and in it, form and the thusness of form are invisible. In it, feeling and perception and formations and consciousness and the thusness of consciousness are invisible. Connect it thus. In it, up to all-aspects-knowing itself, the thusness of all-aspects-knowing itself is invisible. Why is that? Sharadvatiputra, like this, in thusness, for the moment, even form itself is invisible, how much more so the thusness of form? Likewise, for the moment, even feeling and likewise perception and formations and consciousness itself are invisible, how much more so the thusness of consciousness? Connect it thus. For the moment, even up to all-aspects-knowing itself is invisible, how much more so the thusness of all-aspects-knowing itself? When this thusness was taught, twelve thousand monks, without attachment, their minds were completely liberated from the outflows.
